Live with a little a family in Valencia (Spain)
Hola!!
We are Nuria (45) and Alex (14). We are calm and our routine is quite relaxed. We like sharing and we are also very independent. We live in a big house in a quiet village in the outskirts of Valencia.
I lived abroad for many years and now I would like to share my own culture. I also would like that my son shares with people from other cultures. So it will be more a kind of cultural exchange.
I've been a volunteer around Europe for many years doing environmental work to preserve nature. I thought I could experience being a host. So we have been hosts on other sites.
I worked as a Professor for 15 years at the Teaching Languages Department at Valencia University. I coordinated Erasmus projects in U.K, Ireland, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Denmark. I also worked for 3 years as a Teacher of Spanish for foreigners in Germany, so I could give some qualified help with your Spanish.
Alex is a self-sufficient teen. He likes digital arts, photography and basketball. It will be great if you share any skills or interests with my son.
I need help doing some works at the house: painting, repairing cracks in some walls, gardening, moving furnite. I also expect volunteers to colaborate with the tasks at home (cleaning, cooking, supermarket shopping, laundry). We only accept short stays.

Accommodation
Your own private double-room in the attic. Shared-facilities. There's central-heating, air-conditioning, wifi, bicycles and garden. There is underground to the city: 10 minutes walking and then 20 mins to city centre.
What else ...
We live in big house in a quiet village near Valencia. The village is surrounded by farmland nice for walking or cycling. There is public transport 20 mins to the city centre, 30 mins to the beach and 30 mins to the airport. The town centre is very pictoresque and the Science City is really futurist. There are lots of things to do in the city. If you like nature: mountains, rivers, lakes, parks, farmland and the beach are very near.
