Area: south turkey

We are a family with 3 members living in south of turkey in Antalya. Antalya is a million city so far called as the tourism capital of turkey.We live close to the city center by the sea and it takes only 5 min to go to the beach from our house. Father is in the tourism branch and speaks fluent English,German and little Norwegian and Russian. Mother is working as a stewardess and speaks fluent French and English , some Spanish and Italian. We have all possibilities in and surrounding the city to discover nature,history and the real turkish life. In Antalya especially in summer times we got tourists from all europe and russian speaking countries so its a multicultural city. Our house is an apartment with 3 bedrooms , a living room ,seperate kitchen and 2 bathrooms 150 sqm , in a house with 4 apartments with garden close to all amenities like shopping centers to the city and to the beach.

Area: Tamil Nadu

The trust is in it's infancy but is set up by Isaac to help about 450 kids in 15 villages on the outskirts of Tiruvanamalai. Isaac works as a pharmacist until lunchtime then takes to his bike to visit these villages throughout the week trying hard to provide basic education and care and fostering community development. It's a big task to take on and requires to be tackled systematically. Isaac is getting there with his annual plan/budget and themes of education for each month such as hygiene, environment, history/geography and tree planting but much work needs to be done. I am helping Isaac with this site which is new to him but I cannot honestly think of a more worthy cause and you you get to stay with a fantastically hospitable family in Tiru who will bend over backwards to meet your needs. The project really needs management. Anyone with good heart and imagination and who can't resist the smile of a gorgeous Tamil beauty would really appreciate this experience. Tiru is also a really popular spot for spiritual and not so spiritual seekers alike. The infamous Sri Ramana ashram is at the heart of the tourist bubble - famous for it's full moon pilgrimmages around the Shiva mountain. Loads of chai shops and internet and a great mix of gringo meets mad India:) Really hope some of you give it a go - nothing to lose and everything to gain:)

Nous sommes André, 47 et Daniel, 51, who have decided to leave our comfortable urban existence and throw ourselves into the rural life. We haven't quite gone off the grid or gone full farming though. We bought an old conference center that used to be part of a vacation resort. The past four years of our lives has involved a lot of renovation work turning this commercial building into our home and our future life project. We haven't quite figured out what that will be yet, but that was the point of taking a sabbatical to get this project done. We are about 3 kilometers away from Montebello, a small village whose claim to fame is the Fairmont Chateau Montebello. Greyhound bus service passes through twice a day from either Montreal or Ottawa. By car, it's an hour away from both these cities. For those of you into meditation, you may want to combine a work stay here with a silent retreat at the nearby Vipassana meditation centre. Ten days and nine nights of silent meditation to be exact. It's donation-based, so you give what you can in exchange for your stay which includes your room and vegetarian meals.

Area: Osttirol

Hi, my name is Anselm (34). I live with my wife Angelika (33) and our son Ephraim (5) in a small village near Lienz, the capital of Osttirol. I am a teacher in secondary school. Angelika works as a midwife in the hospital of Lienz. Ephraim attends the kindergarten and is interested in nearly every thing. He likes playing or doing something outdoor. Like his parents he is learning French(, Spanish, English, and Italian.) We love working or relaxing in our garden or going on comfortable trips to various destinations in the vicinity. What Ephraim and I love best is going to and playing at the river or one of the little streams near our house. Angelika and Ephraim love reading books. Sometimes we have coffee in the city of Lienz or just stroll around the centre of town.
