Area: Busan, South KoreaWelcome to Busan! We are a corporation that owns both a Hostel and a Language exchange Café, we are based in one of the city’s most lively districts, located near two very important universities, and only 15 minutes away from the beach. Our goal is to provide the local students and residents with a friendly and open-minded environment where they may practice English, along with other languages, through games, conversation and events. To achieve this goal, we need experienced helpers with the following qualities and skills: We need you to be able to speak English fluently, any other language is a plus, but English is an absolute necessary. We also favor helpers who have worked in social fields in the past, as our work will keep you in touch with people at all times during your working hours. Any other skill you may have is also extremely important to us, whether it be cooking, dancing, singing, sports, etc, as we need passionate, creative and energetic people with various interests to work with us, this will incidentally increase your chances to join us. UPDATE as of June 2014: We are looking for: Hosts, chefs, event organizers, language tutors, dancers and artists. We will provide housing and food in exchange for 5 hours of work a day, 5 days a week. You will also be provided with Wi-Fi access. The work mainly includes hosting, but you may also be asked to clean occasionally. We ask that you stay with us for a minimum of 1 month, but longer periods of time are preferred. While we definitely will ask for a lot of participation and effort, we will reward you equally with a very friendly and motivating environment where you will meet many others from all over world, party hard on our Friday nights where some free drinks will be provided, and a heart-warming atmosphere. If you’d like to learn more about our project or are interested in joining us, feel free to contact us and make sure you check regularly for updates! We’re looking forward to welcoming you here with us. Mike (New management from May 2013)
Area: South West France, LotOpening for July going into August for gardener, who will also walk our dog. You are welcome to join our family for a minimum of 2 weeks with an option of staying longer if we both agree on it. Help and an extra pair of hands is needed in the garden, and with walking our dog. Enjoy a stay in the South of France: We´re looking for a responsible person, who will show initiative and who would like to enjoy a stay in the french countryside. Living the french dream. A little information about us; we are a family of five, Marlies and Bart (the responsible ones) Mathis, a ten year old, tri-lingual, boy and our twins of 5 years old Josephine and Arthur. Both Bart and I have travelled extensively on Cruise liners as our professions and so we have (we are told) excellent English and an ability to communicate at all levels, with any nationality. The work will involve working in the garden, weeding, wateringplants, taking care of and walking with our dog Toufou. Mowing the grass on sit down mower, and keeping the garden in shape. Because of the nature of our profession we have a tendency to be efficient and someone with excellent organisational skills would probably blend very well into the family. We like a clean and tidy environment and the twins certainly stretch our ability to maintain this, so patience is a virtue in this case. A grueat sense of fun would be an asset with the little and a sense of adventure for exploring the surrounding area and all it has to offer.

Area: Northern OntarioHello, Update 19 Sept 2013 - thanks to help from neighbours and friends, the porch is done. Now the firewood needs to be brought into the woodshed and the yards need to be cleaned up one last time before winter sets in. I can't do much physical work so I also need help doing the Fall housecleaning. Regis will be home from hospital in a couple days but will also not be able to do any physical work - he had a breathing tube and feeding tube put in. So basically what we need is a strong man or a couple to become part of our family for a few weeks to help us get ready for winter. Update 29 August 2013 - we are in immediate need of help to get the side porch built before cold weather sets in. Regis has tried to help but his health is just not making that possible. The weather has also been uncooperative with rain delaying any hope of outside work. We have a friend here from Southern Ontario but construction is way behind because Regis has not been able to help as much as he would have liked. We need help from someone who has done any kind of construction. Update 15 April, 2013 - Due to health reasons, we are not considering hosting in 2013 at this time. Regis was diagnosed with cancer in February 2012, and is using natural means to bring himself into good health. He finds company upsetting and needs to remain calm and focused during his recovery. It has been a long hard battle but he has already surpassed the oncologist's survival projection of fall 2012. Your prayers and thoughts would be most welcome with focus on calm and hope in and around Regis. Thank you. =========================== My husband (Regis) and I (Noreen) are an older couple and had had enough of life in a stressful, polluted environment. So in the Fall of 2008 we sold our house in Southern Ontario and bought an old, neglected 42 acre farm in Northern Ontario. We are "semi-retired". I tried my hand at organic gardening and year-round greenhouse for our own organic veggies but after 4 seasons of disappointment, I made the decision it is not worth the stress and will buy local organic produce. Regis is a "jack-of-all trades" and has just about every tool you can imagine for auto mechanics, welding, wood working and general "messing around" and he is quite willing to show you how to use them. Our 2 children are both grown and gone. Our daughter is married, and has a daughter of her own who starts Grade 2 in Sept 2012. Our son was "living the life" in Australia, working maintenance at an island resort on the Great Barrier Reef but moved in with us when Regis was diagnosed with canacer. He has been a great help and is settling in nicely in our slower paced way of life. As long as he can take a week a few times a year and visit "civilization", he is glad to get back to the peace & quiet. Despite the cancer, there is still SMOKING in the house. In your first email, PLEASE state that you are OK with this.
