We are a large family running a few different enterprises during the busy summer months in a highly scenic and cultural part of Ireland. There is a blue flag 3 mile beach on our door step offering all kinds of outdoor pursuits. We have plenty of accommodation & are looking for a few workawayers who might be interested in coming to us & helping us on the farm:

Area: Indian Himalayas

We run a small, luxurious retreat for tourists in the Indian Himalayas. The Retreat is 80 Kms north of Shimla, the earstwhile summer capital of British India. Thanedhar is famous for apples, which were introduced by an American gentleman Mr. Samuel Evans Stokes way back in 1916. His family, like the rest of us, is still into apple cultivation. Thanedhar a charming little mountain village, with a small bazaar, which is 1 Km from the retreat . Thanedhar can be easily accessed from Shimla and Chandigarh by regular daily buses. The Retreat is situated in an apple orchard. We also grow cherries and other temperate fruits, but apple is our main crop. The property consists of six bedrooms, two suites, and two independent log cabins . Volunteers will essentially be on hand to interact with guests, who being mostly Indian families, love the opportunity to meet travellers from other countries. Activities include accompanying guests on orchard and forest walks, sitting around the nightly bonfire and sharing meal times. We are looking for volunteers who love the mountains and the outdoors. The volunteers will be entrusted with the duty of a co- host. We are specifically looking for helpers who feel comfortable engaging with guests, sitting for meals with them and showing them the beauty of the area while escorting them on walks. The volunteers will be provided independent accommodation in the family guest room and served meals in the dining room,along with other guests. IMPORTANT INFORMATION - # Please be advised that we are now booked for volunteers April, May, June, July 2012. # Two further openings exist in 2012: ( Aug 1st until Sept 15th) ;( Sept 16th until Oct 31st) . We would consider one volunteer for the entire Aug-Oct three month period. For Apr-Oct 2013: apply October 1st 2012 (and not before)..

Area: MOUNTAINS OF LOS ANDES

My name is Maxine , a proud co-owner of the mansion of my grandma. The mansion works as a Bed&Breakfast, its located in a small city called San Carlos, in the province of Mendoza, in the middle of the wine area, and The mountains of LOS ANDES. We have got here a family business, the Hotel has 12 rooms, its an old monastery of XVII; We also have got a zoo, with local animals. 110 Horses, and 66 dogs; We take care of all the street dogs of almost this whole city, Giving them shelter and food, and some love. This is really a beautiful place, because we also have got a local croissanterie, where everything is made by hand, and with love. We would love to receive volunteers from all over the world, in change for accomodation in our 4 stars hotel, and the necessary things to help us with our business, and have an extraordinary time at this fairytale hotel. We've got an international family, so we speak almost every language! This beach resort is a British owned business run by the retired owner and his Filipina wife We have been in business for almost 9 years so we are well established and known We have 17 guest bedrooms, a function room, pool and a busy bar and restaurant. Most of our guests are Filipino, but we have had more than 40 other nationalities at one time or another

Area: Orce, Granada Province, Andalucia

I live with my partner in beautiful rural Andalucia in the province of Granada. We have been in Spain since 2002 and now live a simple relaxed life and look forward to meeting new people. We own a holiday cave house and let it throughout the year to all nationalities. We live in a cortijo (farm house) which has been renovated and we have acquired the adjoining cortijo and are in the process of sympathetically restoring it with the aim of using it as another holiday property. We have 2 cats in the house and often there are others around the house and land.
