  Description

  The foundation has nearly thirteen years of experience in the field of education through numerous offices located in the poorest neighborhoods of the city of Bogota. The volunteer will provide his services in the municipality of Soacha, a place that undoubtedly has a very intrinsic cultural and political formation.
  Located in the south of the big city of Bogota, the municipality has become in recent years a crucial point for all those who are looking for a better future. People from all over the country, looking for work in the capital of Colombia, but at the same time unable to run the costs of living in a metropolis, decided to live on the outskirts of this great city, taking advantage of Soacha to move to the center from Bogota.
  It is in this social context that the "Bolivarian" school and foundations connected to it are born. The school helps teenagers and adults to finish high school, obtaining the bachelor's degree, a fundamental title especially in a large city like Bogota.
  Students are in a state of vulnerability due to family problems, often considered "normal", and to the social dynamics of the municipality.
  The decision to invite volunteers from all over the world comes from the need to allow the children to discover that the possibility of a new and different world is possible. The presence of foreigners has given new stimuli and provided new perspectives, this with the aim of opening the way to new ideas, convincing them not to get caught up in the harsh reality they face daily.
  
  La fundación cuenta con una experiencia de casi trece años en el campo de la educación a través de numerosas oficinas ubicadas en los barrios más pobres de la ciudad de Bogotá. El voluntario prestará sus servicios en el municipio de Soacha, un lugar que, sin duda alguna, tiene una formación cultural y política bastante intrínseca.
  Situado en el sur de la gran ciudad de Bogotá, el municipio se ha convertido en los últimos años en un punto crucial para todos aquellos que buscan un futuro mejor. Gente de todo el país, en busca de trabajo en la capital de Colombia, pero al mismo tiempo incapaz de correr con los gastos de vivir en una metrópoli, ha decidido vivir en las afueras de esta gran ciudad, aprovechando Soacha para movilizarse hacia el centro de Bogotá.
  Es en este contexto social que nace el colegio “Bolivariano” y las fundaciones conectadas a este. El colegio ayuda a los adolescentes y adultos a terminar el bachillerato, obteniendo así el título de bachiller, un título fundamental sobre todo en una gran ciudad como Bogotá.
  Los alumnos se encuentran en estado de vulnerabilidad debido a problemas familiares, a menudo considerados “normales”, y a la dinámica social del municipio.
  La decisión de invitar voluntarios de todo el mundo nace de la necesidad de permitir a los chicos descubrir que la posibilidad de un mundo nuevo y diferente, es posible. La presencia de extranjeros ha dado nuevos estímulos y ha proporcionado nuevas perspectivas, esto con el objetivo de abrir el camino a nuevas ideas, convenciéndolos de no quedarse atrapados en la dura realidad que enfrentan a diario.

  In the Bolivarian school, the relations between students and teachers follow a horizontal logic. Collaboration and the exchange of ideas are preferred, for better or worse. The volunteer, as well as all other teachers of the school, will have to value the individual, always making sure that they do not feel inferior to any other person, incapable or ignorant.
  We will always seek to support students at any time. Understanding will have to be the key to relations between the two parties.
  
  En el colegio Bolivariano, la relaciones entre los estudiantes y los profesores siguen una lógica horizontal. Se prefiere la colaboración y el intercambio de ideas, para bien y para mal. El voluntario, así como todos los otros profesores del colegio, tendrá que valorizar al individuo, siempre procurando que ellos no se sientan inferiores a ninguna otra persona, incapaces o ignorantes.
  Se buscará siempre apoyar en cualquier momento a los alumnos. La comprensión tendrá que ser la llave de las relaciones entre ambas partes.

  Help

  The volunteer would have to support and give their own classes in relation to the academic training acquired. Particularly interested in the teaching of English, French, physical chemistry and mathematics are sought. The project is aimed not only at teachers or aspiring teachers, but also at all those who believe in social projects and who want to help in any field to others. The volunteer will focus not only on teaching, but also on the social impact connected to it. Therefore, regardless of the subject of teaching, the volunteer will always try to stimulate and involve students in new situations; Showing them that there is a different view of the world, through their own personal experience.
  
  El voluntario tendría que apoyar y dar sus propias clases en relación con la formación académica adquirida. Se buscan en particular personas interesadas en la enseñanza del inglés, francés, química física y matemática. El proyecto está dirigido no sólo a los profesores o aspirantes a profesor, sino también a todos aquellos que crean en proyectos sociales y que quieran ayudar en cualquier campo a los demás. El voluntario se enfocará no sólo en la enseñanza, sino también en el impacto social conectado a esta. Por eso, independientemente de la materia de enseñanza, el voluntario siempre tratará de estimular y involucrar a los estudiantes en nuevas situaciones; mostrándoles que existe una visión diferente del mundo, a través de su propia experiencia personal.

  Accommodation

  El alojamiento y la alimentación están incluidos. Para el alojamiento se tiene destinado un apartamento, el cual deberá ser compartido con otros voluntarios del proyecto. Dos dias libres que se acordaran con ustedes.

  A minimum stay of one and a half months is required.
  The minimum stay is of fundamental importance for two reasons.
  With one hand, connecting the volunteer with the philosophy of the school, it is necessary to establish a relationship of trust between the boys and the teachers, and it will not be possible in less time.
  On the other hand, it is necessary to advance and finish a project with the school and that implies a commitment that can not be done in a few days.
  
  Se require una estadia minima de un mes y medio.
  La estadia minima es de fondamental importancia por dos razones.
  De una mano, conectando el voluntario con la filosofia de el colegio, es necesario establecer una relacion de confianza entre los chicos y los profesores, y no serià posible en menos tiempo.
  Por otro lado, es necesario adelantar y terminar un proyecto con el colegio y eso implica un compromiso que no se puede hacer en unos dias.
