We are two bi-lingual and bi-cultural families, one British/Italian and one American/Italian living in a small village in the Appenine mountains in northern Tuscany. Charlotte and Claudio have 2 kids aged 7 and 5 - We run a small construction and property management business from our home and we would love some general help around the house and possibly some childcare and/or office work. We would also be interested in people able to help with building our new home or decorating the one we live in now! Laura and Jimmy have two daughters and would like a general hand in the home and perhaps with some decorating. In return we can offer an amazing experience in a medieval Tuscan hill town filled with friendly outgoing locals who will love to welcome you to their world.

From the 14th of September 2012, you are more then welcome at our Ecological Centre for personal development and conscience . In the summer season, July and August, we give Yoga and Art Courses. The rest of the year this idyllic place is open for everyone who wants to participate in the project. All meals are vegetarian and of course free. Come experience a quiet but rich life in the heart of Les Cévennes, France. We are a small family of 3, Annabel, Nicolas and our little girl Lucine, who's over 4 months. My life-partner and I live in a remote, lovely and peaceful countryside in the South of France where we've been trying to renovate our small stone house while raising our baby, taking care of our whole organic vegetable garden and restoring the traditional stone walled-fields around the house... A little bit too much on our shoulders it seems! We spent some time abroad, miss the intercultural life and meeting new people. We speak a fair amount of languages and would love to find a way to experience another intercultural experience while at home!!

We live near Lucca, Tuscany - and have a house with 4 hectares of land. Would be really good to have some help with the pruning of the olive trees, clearing of the land and woods and general work. Also if have basic building skills, to build a couple of garden walls etc that would be great! We are an English couple who live here all year round - and we have an estate agency. Our 13 years old daughter is here with us in the school holidays. The house is 30 mins from Lucca and we have a lovely big swimming pool (120 sqm) in very pretty surroundings. We have a wide circle of friends who we socialize with a lot, love good food (Tuscan and international!) and wine. We have four cats - who live mostly outside - but are very spoilt boys! We are a painter and a sculptor who live and work from our waterfront home and studio on Dangar Island. We have three small children aged 8,7 and 3 years. Dangar island is situated 1hr north of Sydney by train or car and is boat assess only. The ferry runs every hour. We are keen permaculture gardeners, and have a garden filled with paintings & sculptures in amongst the fruit trees. We have a variety of subtropical fruit trees planted, happy chickens & a healthy vegetable patch. Work includes gardening, weeding, building garden paths & sheds, tree planting, maintenance of vegetable garden, making sculptures and art reproductions, painting buildings and whatever else we have to do. Must have a sense of humour and be prepared to have fun while working. Usual stay is about a week to start, however longer stays are negotiable after first few days. Although building, painting and landscaping skills would be nice the most important thing is that you are WILLING to work. We are happy to teach you new skills provided you are willing to make the effort. We have canoes and rowboats and in your spare time you are welcome to go exploring or fishing on the river estuary. Lots of great hiking and bushwalks in the surrounding national parks. Would be very happy to host Spanish, Japanese or Chinese speakers as I need to practice these languages. Must be a non smoker. We can also host couples and possibly even one or two small children too for short stays.
