Area: AlgarveWe have lived in Portugal since 1999 and like to have family and friends visit us for good food, good wine and laughter. My husband is a carpenter and a retired singer/songwriter who was quite famous in the 70's. Both of us love to cook so we are always feeding people and looking for new food experiences. We have 2 sons back in UK with 3 grandsons between them. We miss them like crazy so are always Skypying them for a chat. We live in the countryside 3 klm from the town of Sao Bras De Alportel which is about 20 mins drive from Faro airport. Sao Bras De Alportel is very famous for it's cork trees and we have 2 cork factories near-by that processes it. We are surrounded by fig trees, almond trees, and carob trees which are quite heavy work when harvesting in the summer heat. There is a local bakery a 2 minute walk from our property which is open everyday.
Area: Swoyambhu, KatmanduI am Janak kapali from kathmandu, Nepal and I am a huge dog lover! Right now I have 7 dogs and I'm hoping to get more. I give all my dogs love, shelter, care and training. I am not perfect but I have a big heart for dogs. To me they are loyal, loveable, my family and my best friends. I run a dog shelter to give dogs proper training and a loving home. I am searching for volunteers from around the world who love dogs as much as I do and who can help me in raising them properly. There are 4 Nepali college students from poor families, who grew up in my childrens home, living at the shelter and learning to raise the dogs but we are looking for extra help because raising 7 dogs is a 24-hour job and there can always be more love for the dogs! I can provide food (Nepali breakfast, lunch and dinner) and accommodation in a room at the shelter. For this service I charge $5 per day per person. All these charges will be spent 100% on the dogs needs and a small part on the college students, as they don't have much. It will be a huge help if some volunteers want to come lend a hand and share their love for dogs. Thank you and God bless you all. ** In case you were worried, all the dogs are vaccinated and have proper paperwork to show for it! **

Area: Panama CanalFor over 11 years, Jungle Land Panama has offered some of the best eco tours in Panama. Our unique lodging, the only houseboat in the Panama Canal, allows us to offer a unique way of experiencing the Canal. Our guests consistently describe our day tours as the "highlight of their stay"... My name is Captain Carl and I first traveled to Panama as a young Marine with the US military. We trained in the jungles near the north entrance to the Canal at the Fort Sherman Army base. I had no way of knowing that, 17 years later, I would be living and workng in this special region of the world. For over 20 years now I have been working tourism from Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and now Panama. For 11 years now, I have developed tours that showcase the Panama Canal and the surrounding jungle. My home is the only floating Lodge that has every existed on the Panama Canal. I look forward to sharing my unique experiences with others that travel to the Isthmus of Panama.
