FOR NOW: We are looking for assistance in housekeeping, gardening, the organic vegetable garden and this is true physical work. We like active people who enjoy what they are doing, so that in the 5-hours daily work there is a nice result. In this case there is a fair production in exchange for the beautiful accommodation we provide. We are Maria and Mathieu living in Miravet - Spain for 14 years in a country house on 1,5 ha. We live as independent as possible regarding energy, water and food and our life is based on holistic principles. Mathieu was active as an interim manager till July 2012 and Maria is still active as a psychologist. We both spent a lot of time on developing an independant healthy life by using natural resources for energy(solar panels), our own water supply and growing our own organic food. We now started to find and plant authentic seeds. We are looking for people down to earth, hands on, who love physical work, with a positive attitude towards life. As we live in nature we do not invite people who like to sleep out late in the morning, instead of having the urge to salute the brandnew day on planet Earth, to see the sun rise, being in nature and collecting food and herbs for that very day. In the weekends there are common things to do, because there are a lot of animals who need food, care and cleaning, in which we all cooperate in the morning, starting at 10.00 so that at 12.00 o'clock the work is finished and food is prepared. This gives and the host and the WAW a more free weekend. From both food will be provided in the weekends. What is REALLY IMPORTANT is that we are developing a more and more sustainable life, living as green as possible and that the WAW is interested to live in such a system. This means a responsible use and consumption of electricity and water, such as: - Electricity and computers off, when you are not there - Water from taps and shower as short as possible - Washing hands with cold water - 1 big towel and 1 small towel per week - When washing, always taking care that there is full machine. - No waist of food The creative part of life like decorating, is Maria, Mathieu is in his creative flow when he is in the kitchen baking and cooking. There is a separate villa and a cottage on the property available for holiday rental.We have regularly guests staying at this place from all over the world. We have a rather international group of friends and we meet each other on a regular basis to have nice diners, creative activities good discussions. One of our friends is playing gitar and we all sing together. Another friend is a professional singer. The most important thing is the friendship, cheerfullness and the mutual development.

If you would like to spend some time in a quiet part of the Canadian Rockies, come and help with our whitewater rafting company! As of March 13, 2013, we only have openings after August 15th, 2013. We do have cancellations sometimes, so please send us an email to see if we have had any cancellations. We do try and reply promptly to all messages, but we get quite a few emails from this site, and it is a very busy time of year for both of us. It may take up to a week to get a reply, but we WILL respond! Short-term volunteers help with general cleaning, driving vehicles, washing wetsuits, prepping food, doing yard work, and office work and many other slightly boring jobs! But you will join a fun and friendly staff of young people. Besides the usual room and food, there are free rafting trips (we try and get you on 1-2 rafting trips per week), staff excursions and access to hiking, camping, backcountry backpacking and kayaking (we have gear experienced and responsible users can borrow), and exploring the mountains. We are just outside Willmore Wilderness Park and 2 hours from Jasper National Park. During the off-season the rivers freeze over so we don't usually go rafting! Volunteers at this time of year help with office work, painting, organizing, gear maintenance, etc. We include you on any personal trips we do, and help you get out and explore the area. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing opportunities are plentiful, and we have gear we lend people. Please contact us with any and all questions!

For July 2013; We would like to hear from English teachers, Cooks, Activity organisers My wife and I are now both retired teachers but are active working on a small farm.We have been running a small Summer English language school for many years. We now have an Airsoft site on the farm which needs much development in the future.We are building a big Tree house here. Our children are grown up but our last son is still in university and stays with us. We live near a small village but within 10 minutes to the city.This year we would like to design and plant a corn Maize and have it open to the public in 2014.We work with a special school during the week and also with homeless people in the garden. Looking to develop Allotments and a pet farm for the general public in 2014 plus make our Airsoft site improved with more car parking new Hides using tyres and building castle command posts.Starting in March 23rd, we would welcome people interested in working in a vegetable garden and helping out in the allotments. Have lots of various and interesting projects throughout the year but would like to hear from teachers,cooks and sport activity organisers for July.Also interested to hear from anyone able to create a website for our farm and activities going on here.

About us, we are a young couple that runs an Eco Tourism Hotel outside of Olmue (Chile), in the ecologically protected zone of Quebrada Alvarado. Its located approximately 1 hour from Santiago (Our Capital), 40 minutes from Viña del Mar (Beach city) or 50 minutes from Valparaiso (was declared a World heritage a couple of years ago). We also have our own Beer Brewery, so if you are interested in the brewery process we could show you how it works and we have a lot of beer :) In your free time you can obviously use the installations of the Hotel (Swimming pool, sauna, Disco, etc) The restaurant of the hotel provides the alimentation service for our regular staff and you are welcome to join them and get to know them better. We will also provide a special kitchen for the workawayers where you can prepare your own meal or a snack when the restaurant is closed. You will need to take care of transportation to Chile (Santiago) and of getting an international insurance. Sometimes we can arrange a pick up at the airport, depending on the hour and date of your arrival. If we cannot pick you up, we will provide instructions on how to get to our Hotel by bus (not that hard) We are very flexible about the duration of your stay, since we need people for all the seasons. So if we get along fine, there is no problem with you staying here for a long time and if you just want to stay 1 months, that’s fine with us to. It´s also important that you have an outgoing personality, that you are fun to be with and that you are able to create a good mood, so that if there are only a few customers, they still have a good time at our hotel (There are also going to be other work and travelers… so it´s not just you, but it’s important that you as a team are able to accomplish this) We speak English, German and obviously Spanish (We have had people who don’t speak Spanish, and it’s no problem, but obviously it’s a bit easier to communicate with our regular staff if you do have some basic knowledge of the language).

Hi I Live with my 2 sons, one over 18 and the other 10. I breed Great Danes and live on a large finca of over 10,000m2.I really need some help in the garden and with general all round help. I live a 10 min walk from beautiful unspoilt beaches and 6km from the village. I don´t speak English please contact me in Spanish. Soy una mujer viuda, con 2 hijos, uno mayor de edad y otro de 10 años, me dedico a la cria de perros Gran Danes, vivo en una finca de 10.000 m2 y no llego a atender todo como yo quisiera. Estoy a 10min andando de unas playas virgenes (o casi) preciosas y a 6 km del pueblo.
