Description
We are an English family with 2 children (10 & 13) at the local schools. Our family includes 3 Labradors, 9 cats, 7 chickens and an aviary full of exotic birds. We live on a property with 4 acres of land in the Massif des Maures. There are 2 houses, one of which is a converted silk worm factory and the other a large 3 bedroomed guest house.

Everyone will benefit from mixing with a friendly family in a wonderful environment which is located in one of the most lovely areas of France. At this time of year, when the warmth is just re--emerging, there is the great opportunity to explore the locality before the tourist start arriving!!

Aide
We are looking for a team to help in and around the houses / gardens and woodlands. The help will involve working together with an enthusiastic approach to mainly physical work in and around these 2 properties. The interaction while working together will help everyone learn about this part of the world. The children are bilingual, although we speak English at home.

There is a 3 bedroomed guest house and a 4 bedroomed house that has been converted from a former silkworm farm dating from the 18th century. We are currently in the process of renovation and more general improvements in and around these 2 properties as well as maintaining the woodlands. Where we and our work-a-way volunteers live will depend on which parts of the properties have been completed but in any event all the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining / living rooms are delightful. WiFi, TV, DVD and internet telephone all available.
Autres infos...
The village of La Garde Freinet is located in the hills of the Massif des Maures overlooking the Golfe of St Tropez which is 10 kilometres away. This area of Provence provides a beautiful environment for walking, cycling and exploring the delightful coastline. The village is a 5 minute walk from the house and it has a weekly market together with a post office, supermarket and a couple of restaurants and bars. A local bus company services the village and we drive regularly in the week to Cogolin, Grimaud and the coast which will give everyone an opportunity to see the area which has too many attractions to mention here.
