Région: South AustraliaFriendly young family living on a remote sheep and cattle station. Busy, busy, busy! In a nutshell... Sheep, dogs, school of the air, little kids, goats, cattle, jackaroos, jillaroos, snakes, drought, all you would expect to find in the bush (let's make that dirt). It's very dry here at the moment as we are in the clutches of a drought, let's hope it rains soon;) As quoted by the workaway couple that just left here... "true australian experience"
Région: LazioWe are an Australian couple who spend the summer in our Italian house overlooking the medieval village of Cottanello in the Sabine Hills in Lazio, near the Umbrian border. The nearest large town is Rieti, the physical center of Italy and we are only 1.5 hours from Rome. Our property has one hectare of land planted with olive and fruit trees and is situated in the foothills of the Sabine Hills. Our renovations, with the exception of one room, are complete, so the main body of our work is gardening and generally maintaining the grounds which comprises mowing, brush cutting, weeding and pruning. For relaxation there are some good mountain walks, with panoramic views over the valleys and villages below, and on a clear day you can see as far as Rome. We have a good selection of books, internet access and an art studio where you can paint and work with clay if this interests you.
