We live on a narrowboat, travelling around on the Regents Canal, London. We want to contribute to the great and joyful changes that are needed, and now arriving in our culture. We are currently setting up a boat market called peoplespace market, where we will bring local artists, makers and creators together, and sell/trade their work on the canal. We make: crafts, jewellery, baked goods, fresh herbs, vegetables, bits and bobs. Due to the limited space, we can only invite volunteers for between 1-2 weeks.

Workaway volunteers needed for 5th May 2013 Come and help us transform our mud patch into a lovely eco-cottage garden, assist with the final finishing works on our character cottage (painting/decorating, carpet fitter, plumbing and or interior design/ upholstery/sewing help urgently required!) - We are trying to finish renovating a cottage and garden to create a safe haven and calm retreat for our high-functioning autistic son and my wife who has the long-term debilitating condition CFS We are looking for help between 5th May and 6th July 2013. We are an English family living in a 1750's traditional French character cottage in lovely Lassay-les-Chateaux. Lassay les Chateaux is a beautiful village in the north of the Mayenne Department of France, with a 15th Century chateau, medieval garden and a beautiful rose garden (over 200 varieties of roses). There are plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy in this charming old town. A three minute walk from our cottage finds you in the centre of Lassay. We have two children of nearly 6 and nearly 5. Animals are a big part of our life - we have two friendly dogs (Gracie, a King Charles Cavalier and Sasha, a Cotton de Tulear puppy of 7 months), two kittens and 6 chickens in the garden. We also help with rescue kittens and foster them during kitten season for a local animal charity here in France until they can find loving forever homes! We like to eat homemade fresh food and spend lots of time outside. Our interests include home-cooking, nature, organic gardening, photography, culture and travel, walking, animals. The children love arts and crafts, baking, going to the river beach and playground, riding bikes and helping in the garden! We are an easy-going, welcoming family eager to learn about other people's lives and cultures and have fun through this exchange programme and hope to make many friends along the way!

A lavender farm and winery on southern Vancouver Island in British Colombia. Close to beaches and hiking trails and on the public transit route. We have bicycles for the volunteers and plenty of farm fresh food. Our worker loft sleeps up to 6 people during our harvest time in July and August which makes for a very social environment for our workers.

Since we bought this farm 24 years ago we only used and provided biological products and plantations. We are Father and Son; Andreas, 59 years old (at the moment he's in the hospital, because he broke his hip and we will return to the farm in the end of January). He's a engineer that has always a lot of ideas and solutions in his mind, he is dedicated to nature, permaculture and biological food. Lucas, 23 years old, studied programming, is now dedicated to do all kind of farm works. Apart of the farm work, Lucas teach traditional world dances with his girlfriend Rafa that used to help often at the farm.

Come and help out at my dream B&B in southern Spain. A few years ago I gave up a stressful job as a world music promoter in London and went travelling. In Andalucia I stumbled on a ruined house in the Alpujarras - the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains just south of Granada. I restored the house and garden and created Casa Ana - a B&B with accommodation for 11 people. As well as looking after guests, friends and I also run for cooking and writing courses and walking holidays. People love coming to the house because the area is so beautiful, and very peaceful. I live in one part of the house, and staying here feels like coming to a private house rather than a hotel. Things I enjoy: I have two cats and In 2011 I created an organic vegetable garden next door to the house. I love walking, horse riding, swimming, reading, good food, meeting new people and spending time with friends.
