Area: Pays de la LoireI am a single mum (British) with one of my daughters living at home. I am a qualified English teacher working in a local high school, although I began my career in primary. I also run holiday accommodation in the summer. At home we speak primarily English but all speak French as well. We live in an old farmhouse with a large garden and swimming pool, in a tranquil, rural area about 20 minutes from the beaches of Vendée. We have dogs, cats, chickens, geese, and dwarf sheep as pets. I have lots of jobs both skilled and unskilled to do. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or propositions you might have. We are a non-smoking household but I don't object to smoking outdoors as long as cigarette butts are properly disposed of! No drugs though please. I have lived in US, Canada and several European countries. As a family we have lived in the Canary Isles, UK and have now been here for nearly eleven years. Our recent holidays have taken us to Spain and New Zealand. We've had some great experiences with our volunteers so far and are looking forward to continuing to meet new people of all ages and hearing their tales of travels.

Area: Jalisco, MexicoThanks for all the great offers, but sadly as stated in our calendar, our season is coming to an end and we won't be needing any further help until next November, but hope to be able to then again host some more great volunteers! Saludos! Young family seeks help in a midclass green hotel on the beautiful central Pacific coast of Mexico. We are a young well travelled and open minded Mexican couple with a 16 month old baby boy just back from a 2 year round the world trip, looking for help in our family business, mostly with our baby and in the reception attending our international but down to earth clientele, maybe sometimes helping out in our little restaurant. Another possibility is a creative artist/interior designer that could help us give a beautiful new touch (natural, spiritual and inexpensive to accomplish) to our little hotel. We are looking for somebody with positive attitude, honest, creative, outgoing and reliable, ideally with very good English (most of our clients are Canadian, but also Mexican, American & European) and intermediate Spanish and who might be wanting to expand on his/her Spanish and cultural skills while here talking to our very friendly staff and Mexican guests. Our little hotel is located in the centre of our very charming costal town Barra de Navidad (4hrs southwest of Guadalajara), two blocks from the beach and with great outdoor possibilities (fishing, snorkeling, surfing, yoga, hiking, etc...) and some nightlife. Nuestra casa es tu casa =)!
