    Description

    Ciao a tutti,

we are Marina and Giuseppe, a couple in our sixties. We moved from Florence to the country side of Mugello in 2009. Mugello is an area about an hour away from Florence. The closest village is called Vicchio and is about 4km away. The Landscape around here is very beautiful and many well-known painters came to the surrounding area.

On our little farm we have olive trees with which we make our own olive oil and a big garden where we get most of our produce. We also have many different animals. There are two horses, two geese, a flock of chickens and a dog.
    .
We do not smoke and smoking is not allowed. We can only accept a request from one workawayer at a time!

    Help

The help we need depends on the season. We mostly need help in the garden and with the stables. In the morning we need to feed the horses and clean the stables. Then, depending on the weather, we have to decide on the work for the day. It could be that the soil around the olive trees needs to be taken care of which means that it has to be well-dug and manured. There could be a fence or the stables that need painting or there could be something to do in the garden such as harvesting, weeding or watering the plants. In addition to this, we also need help indoors with maintenance and cleaning.

We expect our workawayer to be a help in our routine. We would like to host people who have experience with and passion for horses as we need help with them.

The work hours are flexible but, in general, we expect about four to five hours of work per day. on some days we have more to do and on some days there is less work. But you'll, of course, have enough time to discover the surrounding area.
