    Description

We would like to thank all of our workaways for their big input into the building of our dream project, we have received around 100 volunteers since 2015, and the communal effort is been the success of the beautiful results we have achieved.

We are a family coop. like many of you in the search of sustainability, peace of mind and simplicity, working on building a place of gathering for friends and family and all of you who would like to be part of it.

Having said all this, so far we have finish the main house and the 2 casitas in the property - currently we are building 4 more rooms with an outside wood deck with a mix of rustic permaculture style (bamboo, wood and materials from the region)

We continue to extend an invitation requesting dynamic, outgoing, all around strong-minded, committed workaways who would like to get involved with long term projects such as running the property when we are not there, as well as to give the last details to it, and several other projects to maintain and improve it.

We need great people with knowledge of carpentry, electricity, gardening, mechanics, general help for light construction, marketing and social media , lingo savvy, web designer, people related to the tourism industry, go pro, drone or movie aficionado, able to edit videos for advertising, and all sort of ideas that can help the community of Costa de Oro, to keep improving and become a stopover for world travelers, but if you are just a world traveler and none of the above and love to lend a helping hand this is your place.

Heaven is not around the corner.
    Only dog lovers, please.
And the food is really good!

We would like to take the time to express our gratitude to our helpers, that not only have help us to achieve the building of running as a Bed and Breakfast and a camp ground-but furthermore than that, it was the time that some of you guys volunteer into our community, which rarely ever sees a foreigner, thanks to Workaway!

The Workaway Volunteers have acted as truly ambassadors from around the world with whom we and the locals have established wonderful relationships that continue to today.

People who sought and helped to resolve our day to day challenges, the needs of our dogs, and even to set trends in the town, to all who have come this far and ventured into our humble kitchen, and our local tours; we hope that this pristine and unspoiled rain forest jungle community has helped you to fulfill your expectations of nature, adventure, culture, human relations and gastronomy ( for the ones who have tasted the neighbor's cooking, while exchanging their work time doing local chores, like farming, cheese making, agricultural work).

We want to build this into a place that can always be shared by people like you and us, people that go around helping others, so manual skills will be useful.

Gardening, light construction work, house painting, carpentry will be part of the tasks.

As we won’t be there all year long, we need to share it with others that will wish to keep on with the task of maintaining it, while we are abroad.

The place is a coastal environment with beach and rainforest activities, depends of the season of the year you come, we suggests to bring a raincoat, sturdy shoes or boots, and one warm change, we will discuss further upon acceptance.

    What else ...

We live within the nucleus of Los Tuxtlas biosphere reserve , next to a beautiful creek, with a pond of clear, fresh water, and 100 mts. from the ocean.

And within a day trip to a bunch of cultural, adventurous attractions such as: Catemaco and it’s Lake, the lagoon of Sontecomapan, the biological research center of the UNAM, and a lot of pristine waterfalls and rivers, lagoons and estuaries to explore.
Museums of history and archaeology, and picturesque small towns (San Andres Tuxtla, Santiago Tuxtla, Tlacotalpan and more).

We are 3 hours from Veracruz city, the door of the conquest in Mexico, and the oldest Port in Latin America.

We drive into town every two weeks, you will be welcome to come with us, to all explore a new place.

This is a still undeveloped region in Mexico, which means you are going to have an authentic experience of a jarocho (natives of the coast of Veracruz) fishing village.

All travels and sight seeing's can be achieved in ¨colectivas¨ (Piratas) and share-taxis or bus services.

We suggest you purchase travel insurance for the time of your stay.
