Descripción
We are a family in chancing times. Our three daughters start their own way to go and we, Annette and Nepomuk preparing a new chapter in their lives: when the time comes, we want to open a life partnership.
Our 350-year-old farmhouse is still the focal point: we bought it many years ago as a ruin and brought it back to life and lovingly transformed it into a meeting place. Everything is very individual designed because we love building with old materials.
One of our priorities is to live sustainably: growing fruit and vegetables in our garden, processing them and collecting and processing herbs . Nepomuk is a gardener by profession and workaday people can learn a lot from him about gardening and growing all year round. Annette is an artist and art therapist. She has a practice for art therapy in the house and works in schools for art projects. We both are freelancers.
To take advantage of the countryside there also belong animals to our farm: chickens, dog, cat, fish, and four donkeys. The donkeys are part of our concept: they are used for therapy purposes and can be booked for walks. We are always trying to find a balance between life thats necessary and our own dream of the way of living.
In summertime we like going to swim at our swimming place, sitting a the fire and enjoy to be outside as much as possibe.
We also have a pond to swim and a private DIY skate spot.
Our village is really small: it has 30 inhabitants and is located in the near of Wunsiedel. We are in the middle of a ow mountain range and if you enjoy walking or cycling, you can have some nice trips in our area. The next small citys are Wunsiedel and Marktredwitz, there is also the trainstation. Nürnberg and Regensburg are about 130 km away.

You can learn craft skills and things around gardening, all kinds of work living on the countryside. Learning something about the character of donkeys, being part of the family community, being part of social life in the area, practice language and much more!

Ayuda
The permanent tasks are around gardening, splitting wood for the wintertime, vegetable and fruit growing, harvesting and preserving this, care for animals, cleaning parts of the house.
We are mainly looking for people with talent for manual work, who enjoy physical work and don't mind dirt. Throughout the year, we realize various projects, such as building with different materials or the artistic design of something else.
Actually we need help with doing hay, earning the first fruits and boil them down, cleaning.

Alojamiento
You sleep in a big room and there is a bathroom, mainly for yourself. Sometimes, when there is somebody else, you share the bathroom.

We are in the middle of a small highland where you can go hiking or cycling. You can go by feet, cycle or train. We can bring you by car to a place you want to go and pick you up. Wunsiedel is around 2,5 km away. There is a Supermarkt, Café, etc. It´s possible to go by train for trips to Marktredwitz, Hof, Nürnberg, Regensburg, Bamberg for a day trip or stay overnight. You can have a walk with the donkeys, go swimming at our pond. We also take you with us, if we go to social events, visit friends or doing anything else. You are welcome to be part of our life!

I stayed with Nepomuk and Annette for a few weeks, though it felt like much longer, mainly because one feels at home there straight away. It's such a nice place, a beautiful big old farm house, and sprawling gardens, lawns, the chickens and donkeys, all surrounded by huge trees, and a lovely cabin to stay in.

I've really enjoyed the stay.
The work was easy going.
They had always a lot of programmes to do, such has going for a walk, for example with the donkeys, or going to slide a mountain.
Also it was very good to practice my german.

We learnt many things working there and Annette and Nepomuk always took time to show us things and indicate us places to visit !
