Description
We are an little family consisting of Per (66), Inger (47) and Vinjar (8). We have a beautiful small farm on the west coat of Norway. Apart from the humans we live with our 4 alaskan huskys, 6 hens, 6 goats and 6000 m2 of land. We are dedicated in our work with culture and nature. Restoring old houses, gardening, arranging camps for youngsters, and living as close to nature as possible. Our place is rather isolated and staying with us you have to be comfortable living far from people. Per is a craftsman and has been working an a traditional open air museum for the last 30 year. Wintertime he has trained as a sled dog musher, but now he has some health issues and enjoys wood cutting and a bit slower tempo. Inger is an actress but has for the last years been working for an outdoor organization with making kids and adults play outside. She does workshops in cooking and outdoor activities. Vinjar as a cool kid who is brought up with a campfire instead of a TV and is used to help his mum and dad both inside and outside. We need help with taking care of the dogs, carpeting, gardening, general maintenance and painting. We believe in sharing experience and knowledge and would love to accommodate you to share and to learn about you.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
By staying with us we hope to give knowledge of a conscious living. We care for nature, human beings and animals and the fact that we need each other to make the best out of it. We also hope to give you insight into hard and good work, quality and dedication. We cannot live without nature, culture and art and hopefully this will make an imprint on you.

Help
Your days will consist of helping me along in the garden, giving Per a hand as we are restoring a new part of our old house. The dogs need attention and care during the summer and we have several projects we are preparing for the creative camps we run during summertime. In all this we need an extra hand.

What else ...
The fjords, lakes and spectacular mountains of Sunnmore are as close as you can get them. We have all the gadgets you need to get there and maybe spend some days there. You can borrow the car or you can go by public transport. The dogs are of course for free use at any time. The nearest city center, Aalesund, is 40 kilometers away and is build in the beautiful Jugend architecture. There are galleries, shops, cinema, restaurants and all the rest of it.

Super food and more important a lot of kindness is what you can expect by Inger, Per and Vinjar. We wish the garden grows, the dogs will be stronger and stronger, the ships will float, and the Snekkerman will grow wise with his hamer. We realy learned a lot, hope to see… read more
