Description
Ours is a family run homestead project tucked away in a cozy "kampung" in Perak, Malaysia. Occupying a one acre plot of land surrounded by tropical greenery, we built our home and have been living here since 2020.
Our intention with this lifestyle is to explore eco-sustainability and communal living. Work is flexible and quite relaxed as we are in the early days of the project and have lots to juggle. Tasks available for volunteers who are self motivated and happy to take initiative include - woodworking, building, infrastructure projects, garden set up, gardening, growing a food forest. Other than that, we need help with the daily tasks of communal cooking/house chores and welcome anyone who would like to teach our two little ones anything from language to maths to music.
Your host is a fun loving family, Yoong & Charissa with two free range wildschooled children (7&4). Spirituality, music, art and nature are a huge part of our life. We left the city in 2014 in search of a simpler, more connected life and love getting to share it.
We look forward to good conversations over hearty meals and an exchange of cultures, experience and knowledge.Types of help and learning opportunities
