Description

We are a family of 4 , building a straw bale house in the desert. We live in Beer Milka, an agricultural community on a beautiful sand dune in the Negev desert, overlooking the Egyptian border to the west, and the Agur Sands Nature Reserve to the east.
The house design: includes various ecological elements. We, Nava – an architect specializing in ecological architecture, and Jonathan – an agricultural engineer, designed the house by ourselves and are building much of it with our own hands. We are looking for volunteers to share the experience and learn with us.
