Description

I am a retired American from Northern California. I have bought two properties on Volcan Baru in Western Panama near Costa Rica. I am building (expanding) the first house and have the resources to build one or two more dwellings. Even though I pay the locals (and feed them) much more than scale they are not dependable or loyal. What the heck, it is Panama, you come to work when you feel like it. I can do the construction myself but would like companions to enjoy good food, clean air and great scenery. I am learning Spanish and have found the locals to be lovely people. There is much agriculture activity around and organic farming is a new technique here and I think there is a real future as the Panama City people have the money to buy quality organic vegetables and investment opportunities could exist in this field. I have had many young people respond and it sounds like they are just looking for a place to party. It would be hard for me to take two people because of the dynamics of a trio. Google Los Quetzales Lodge to see the area. This area is real livable because of the warm weather, cheap healthcare and friendly people.

Accommodation

Just got the roof on. I eat great food at a local restaurant for cheap but have a small kitchen. Hot shower. Have great water and electricity. The locals do the laundry for cheap and it is a short walk to a great frequent bus to Volcan, Chiriqui, Panama.

What else ...

I will provide all you can eat. You will be close to a million acre park stretching half way to San Jose, Costa Rica.
