Region: SicilyHello I'm Giovanni and my B&B is situated in one of the most important streets of Ortigia, “Corso Matteotti” where the tourismous begins! Located in an ancient building of 20’s you can feel not just the historical and beautiful Greek atmosphere but also the modern and beautiful life in Syracuse. I need a person that helps me in tourist's wellcoming, general maintenance, cleans the rooms, works with pc and programs. It's a good chance to know Sicily and meet foreign people, to learn and to practise the languages and it's a good way to let out your own quality!
Region: Languedoc RoussillonWe are an Anglo/French couple in our early 50's with a 15 year old son. Irena and Bernard and our son Christophe. We enjoy people visiting from all over the world. This is a wonderful exchange and we appreciate workers that can give their best, work hard and also enjoy what they are doing and have some fun and good exchanges at the same time. We enjoy sharing ideas and being a contribution to each other in some way. We run a B & B, plus Gites, on 7 acres of land in a beautiful part of south of France, in Le Gard. We do organic gardening, growing all kinds of veggies from tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, beans, to salads and often need help, in the garden, planting, weeding, keeping it tidy. We also have lots of soft fruits, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries etc. so in season we need help with picking soft fruits, making jam. CURRENTLY we are looking for someone who can help with chopping wood, use a strimmer and is good with outdoor work for October and November. We take people for minimum of 2 weeks and longer if all is going well. We are always interested in people who would like to help with the follwoing:- We need help and to maintain the grounds, bringing in cut (Autumn) wood, storing it, clearing the overgrown areas, watering the garden, weeding etc. We are particularly keen on someone that can assist us with updating our web site, ie add a calendar and links to face book, etc... and help to create a facebook page and keep it updated. Anyone who is good at sorting out paperwork, we are having a big clear out. When we have guests we need help with cleaning rooms, making beds and serving up breakfast and clearing up afterwards. We also have a donkey, our pet dog Djoulou who loves being taken for long walks, and 3 cats. We take all our meals together except breakfast, as Bernard works outside as well and gets up really early. Anyone who can use a strimmer, would also be much appreciated and who has some knowledge of painting and decorating and plastering would also be a great asset. I have recently stopped tour guiding work and traveling all around the world and have trained as a Yoga teacher. We appreciate anyone one who has some kind of skill, including being organised, and working as a team or on your own, so that the work we need doing can be done effectively, with some fun, enjoyment and great memories along the way.
Region: Provence Alpes AzurHi there, We need help from hard working, forward thinking, proactive, social individuals who are experienced in at least one of the following ....manual labour, hospitality, gardening, plumbing, electrics, cookery and catering, washing and ironing, etc. Our volunteers are expected to be motivated and work hard 30 hours per week at the Chateau and in return will receive board and lodging in a fun and fabulous setting. The luxury Chateau that is operated by ourselves is 5 kilometres along the coast from the town of le Lavandou which is 35 minutes by car from St Tropez and 40 minutes from Toulon. We are nestled in the village of Cavaliere and are only 900 metres from the beach- reputably some of the best in France (St Clair beach was voted 2012 number 1). This area is one of the least developed coastlines with breathtaking hiking and cycling routes. It is noted to be one of the principle areas for the artists who founded the neo-impressionist movement. The property has been restored by us to it's original splendor having been empty for 20 years. The Chateau is rented out to clients during the summer and we are developing and living in the adjacent buildings in the grounds of the Chateau and in the process of creating an Art Centre amongst other things. Gail is herself an artist and is expert in specialist decorating techniques. There is ample opportunity to practice and learn French within the area. It is our intention to have a minimum of 2 volunteers at any one time and maybe more. Longer terms are also possible depending on performance. If you think you are the type of person that fits the above, is hard working and would like to help with work like this, please get in touch. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOT LIVING IN THE CHATEAU. ACCOMODATION is simple but comfortable with individual bedrooms usually. We look forward to hearing from you. Bye for now Meyrick and Gail
