Help with land and horses in Portugal
Area: Montana
Hi, our names are Andrew and Hilary. We are a young family with two children, our son age 4 and our daughter age 1 and are looking for a fun, easy going, responsible girl to help us care for our children this summer. We live and ranch in Centennial Valley, Montana. We raise all natural grass finished beef cattle, train horses and enjoy the wide open spaces. The ranch encompasses 30,000+ acres of mountainous terrain with a river winding through. We border the Red Rocks National Wildlife Refuge and are only 40 miles from Yellowstone National Park. We are a working ranch focused on holistic resource management. We run close to 2000 cattle and 40 horses. We also have a ranch guest program which allows people from around the country and the world to come visit and participate in ranch activities, learn about range land management, low stress stockmanship, natural horsemanship and wildlife ecology. Our house is very small but cozy but we make up for the space we lack indoors with 30,000 acres to run wild in outdoors. We also have three working dogs, two cats and lots of chickens (and sometimes a new baby calf or two that needs help getting started in life). We would love to share our life and our home and our experience with anyone who is interested in learning more about ranching, wildlife, child care and experiencing a way of life that is closely tied to the land.Area: Scotland
We are a family run, four star Guesthouse in the heart of Speyside in the Highlands of Scotland. We are a friendly family with two daughters, Kirsty 23, Ailie 21, a son Calum 14 and three dogs, Whisky, Coco and Millie. We live in a very beautiful area which is popular with tourists who like whisky, fishing, hill walking and golf and our guest house is often very busy, although all the guests we have tend to be very friendly. We live very close to the scenic River Spey and are surrounded by many hills so this opportunity would suit those who like the outdoors and beautiful scenery.Area: Idaho
Farm Description We are a Jewish family on a small organic (non-certified) farmstead in foothills of the Rocky mountains in north-central Idaho. We are near the Clearwater River and Clearwater National Forest. We have a large vegetable garden and raise pigeons, goats, chickens and our most special crop, and the reason we live the simple life we do, is our children. Our goals are to raise our family in a healthy, country, close to the earth kind of way. So in order to do that we are wanting to finish building up raised beds in the Garden, get our new greenhouse finished and assemble and start operations in a second one. We will be setting up an area for dairy cows this spring, working on our water ram system for irrigation from our stream, salvaging a logging building and putting up a barn. Stays of at least 1 week to several months are suggested. If things work out well we are open to extended stays. We love community. We can use help from February through October. We expect Workawayers to put in 5 to 6 hours of work a day and since we are Jewish each Sabbath (Saturday) is a day off. We try to leave plenty of time for fun. Transportation from Lewiston ID and Missoula MT areas may be possible. Languages spoken here are English, some Spanish, and a smattering of Hebrew. We are very family friendly and children are more than welcome, as we have a bunch of our own. We are able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten free diets. Nearby attractions; The Clearwater river and fishing, swimming and boating is only 8 miles away. Hot springs are about an hour and half drive up river. Also nearby is the Clearwater National Forest and the Nez Perce Tribal Reservation, so exploring there can be fun as well. We are new to Workaway but old hats at community.Area: Berlin
We run a park similar to 30 such parks that exist in all over the world. They are a place for lingering and meeting, and radiate a new spirituality that rejects all forms of violence and discrimination, appealing to the sacred dimension of the human spirit, seeking to discover freedom and meaning. We are 30 friends from different countries, who bought this piece of land and this farmhouse. We are financing it from our own pockets and with the help of our friends. There is no any institution, organisation or company sponsoring us. The transformation into a park of study and reflection goes step by step and all the work we do ourselves is voluntary work.Area: Gomoa Assin Brofoyedur
Our school serves the Gomoa Brofoyedur town in the central region. The closest major town is Ankamu (also known was Apam Junction). Do you desire to teach english, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), writing and literary programs, etc at a small community in a developing nation?
