Region: Atlantic coast

I am living on the beautiful Andalucian coast with my two kids (11 and 13) that are both easy going and bilingual. The area we live in is a surfers paradise and is close to many local tourist towns that you could visit and explore. We have a house with 3 apartments that we are renting to tourists where there is always help needed. Caños de Meca is a little village at the Costa de la Luz, for anyyone who wants to relax and enjoy nature and the local Spanish culture. It would be great if you had some skills in gardenwork, maintenance, computer skills or artistic flair. We are happy to have couples.

Region: Costa de la Luz

We are a German family with a 16 year old son, living 8km from the wonderful beaches of the Costa de la Luz near Conil de la Frontera. We have a small holiday resort. Dogs, chickens, organic garden .

Region: Arcevia

In the middle of Italy in a Natural park you will find our typical countryhouse. The next little village is about 6 km. We have been living here since 1995 and we create workshops with the intention to exchange creative workings and ideas involving ceramics, paperclay, painting, Raku and more.

Region: Namsos

We need a volunteer NOW! We bought a horse and a shetland pony that we have to collect before the 1st of July. Due to a cancellation we now have only one volunteer. Who would like to help us put together the horsestables? They are prefab, so no special skills required. Please ring or email if you are interested! We (Esther, 34 and Palli, 37) live on a farm in Bangsund (near Namsos, 180 km North of Trondheim). The farm consist of 85 ha ground, mostly forest and grassfields. We have 2 cats but no other animals. Previously, the farm was a shipyard and the main house dates from 1850 (see pictures). We both have full time jobs as doctors in the nearby hospital. We recently had a baby and Esther is therefore at home untill August 2010. After that, we will both be working during the days. We love to have visitors and are looking for 1 or 2 persons (couple?) to help us out. We expect you to work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We offer a room and 3 meals a day. You can also use our wireless adls internet, skype, 2 mountainbikes, small boat with motor to go onto the fjords, fishing and sports equipment. We enjoy going on weekend tours and here is the old motto the more the merrier! Please contact us when you are in the area. We are looking forward to your visit!

Region: Tuscany

I am an English sculptress looking to start a gallery with other artists out here. I need duplicates of my work. I live in a big, restored, stone villa in Tuscany, part of which is used for summer rental, and look after my very elderly mother. This is a beautiful, rural area which offers escape from the pressures of modern life. It is central and well-placed for trips to famous historic centres, but use of public transport is risky. You need to have special skills or be Italian to master the bus timetable. Apart from a sculpture technician it is a good workaway situation for retired couples or a self -sufficient, handy man -type person from Europe, travelling by car. It is really not a comfortable place for student backpackers. The restoration of the farm buildings and the making of a garden on a steep slope, has been a 20 yr project, so , while there is still work to do, the maintenance is piling up. During the winter months it is good to have helpful friends around with plenty of interests and skills to share. A retired architect couple stayed here from Jan to June 2009 and we had a great exchange. They liked the area so much that they are now working to move here so are unavailable for 2010.
