    Description

Right now we need emediate help with the garden, painting all the walls inside, and digging a big hole for our trampoline.
Also there are always chores like carpenting, maintaining the building.. It's up to your skills and what you would like to do.
We offer you a nice room with a double bed with your own entrance right in the forest. In July and August we will be there and provide you company and meals. In other months you can also stay there, enjoy the silence and in the weekends join the activities like concerts.

With that said, let's introduce ourselves:

We are Hans and Marjolijn, our three children Noah (19), Ravian (11) and Levin (9) and our cats. We are from the Netherlands and have been living in this fabulous church in Czech Republic for some years permanently.
Now the winds have blown us back to the Netherlands and the church is alone for several months a year. Wich makes it hard to maintain..
The church ('soulkostel') turned out to be a great place for small concerts and festivals. People from all over Czech Republic, and beyond, have found their ways to visit. Allmost every weekend exept for July, August and wintertime there is something happening.

We have been building a lot using mostly wood from the forest, reused building materials and second hand furniture. The place is like a home for us. Its cosy and creative. Upstairs we have our private space. Downstairs is a big wooden floor for events.
We magically turned a piece of the surrounding forest into a garden but as it goes when we are away: the forest takes it back.. And sometimes the animals from the forest come to eat our vegatables.

We are both creative people, Hans is a musician and Marjolijn makes felt and many other things, but because the house is so big, there's sometimes too little time for that.. A lot of energy goes to the house and the garden and we could use some help. We also love to meet new people, share meals, music and wisdom :)
We are living the natural life, heating and cooking on a wood stove in winter, drinking water from a spring (we do have a hot shower:) using wood from the forest to build or reusing building materials. We love old furniture, things with a soul and history.

In summer we are outside a lot, the children have all freedom to play. The church is in the forest, close to fields and rockformations, ideal to hike, bike, enjoy silence and nature. We love to sleep outside, cook on an outside fire and catch frogs to keep in our own little pond.
We are looking forward to meeting you!

!!Right now we need help with painting, gardening (sowing and making fences) and digging a hole for the trampiline!!

The rest of the year the help can be anything, there is gardening, painting, small building, cleaning, organising events, fixing whats broken. Next to the chores that needs to be done we also want to repair our treehouse, build a shed, an
outside woodoven for pizza or bread etc. It will depend on your skills and pleasures what you can do. If one of these things make you enthousastic please let us know!
In July and August we want to celebrate summer. Make fire, sleep outside, go swimming, and be creative with the children.
Lets get in touch and see what feels good.

    Can possibly accept pets

Pets are welcome! we have enough space for dogs or other animals to run around. We rather have no dogs in our livingroom because our cat lives there and needs some privacy. But you can have your dog or other pet in your room or let them play freely in the forest.
