We just spent 10 days at the Chateau and had a great time. We helped with jobs ranging from cleaning and refilling the pool, mowing lawns, putting a pergola together...to cooking for up to 7 guests on a poetry course. It was varied and interesting and it all felt very relaxed. Ventenac is charming and we had plenty of time out of working hours to cycle round, walk, and swim when there was a chance. I would recommend it, and Julia, and especially Teg :-)

It was a great experience to work at the Chateau. Waking up every morning with a breathtaking view was rewarding enough, not to mention our fantistic host who made us feel at home. The work was challanging as ´Crepi´ was difficult to master at first, but think we got it in the end, and it was fun. Thanks Julia for having us and lettting us into your home, we had a great time. We would recommend Julia, Teg and the Chateau to anyone, anytime

Rocio was a valued helper with us for 3 weeks in April/ May 2010. She was very willing to help with anything asked of her and always completed tasks thoroughly. She helped in the house with cleaning, ironing, kitchen work and some outdoors painting and gardening. Thank you, Rocio.

Nathalie and Aaron were wonderful helpers and house guests. Always willing to help with whatever was needed they are both extremely competant and mature in their outlook. They were very good at looking after my paying guests and were great team members - working well with the other helpers that I had at the time. I thoroughly recommend them both and would welcome them back to our Chateau anytime.

It was a delight to welcome Andy to our chateau . He was an extremely willing and competent worker, happy to help with whatever was needed. He can cook, cleans up after himself and was a very good team member. He worked very hard and quickly mastered the technique of applying thick textured paint to outside walls...so thank you "Crepi Man" We miss you xx

It was a pleasure to welcome Kayle and Rashika to our Chateau. They are both bright, cheerful and very willing workers. They helped us with outdoor painting and quickly learnt the new technique needed to paint walls with french crepi!! They also painted the cellar. All work was done really well. We are thrilled with our lovely new white walls in the cellar. They also mucked in on domestic chores with enthusiasm and were very good team members but also able to look after themselves when necessary. I thoroughly recommend them both and have invited them to come back here if they come this way again.
