Our Chateau is a 7 bedroom home running activity holidays and occasionally offering B&B. It is run by Julia (with the help of Teg, my Border Collie dog) who enjoys welcoming volunteers to help with the many tasks such a big enterprise involves. During the autumn during some weeks we are running holiday courses and I will be looking for help with catering, kitchen work, cleaning and generally taking care of our guests who are mainly english speaking. Other weeks the work will be maintaining the house & garden. The house is mostly renovated but there are still some jobs inside the house to be done. Help is mostly needed with light painting and repairing. The gardens are in the process of being restored from the jungle that we found when we bought it 5 years ago. I am also looking for help this autumn with computer related tasks, copy writing and production of ads, video production for promoting the Chateau, photo archive scanning, etc!!Area: ANDALUCIA, Cadiz province, Barbate
We are a french family of four, with 2 kids (7 1/2 and 3 years old). We have worked abroad (Africa, Central America, Pakistan) for years, and after few years in Paris, we decided to settle down in Costa de la Luz (Andalucia), wich is a perfect place to raise children (and for adults too!). We know the area since 20 years now, and have lived here full time for 7 years. We live in a beautiful and preserved environement, in a old hacienda, in a natural park of pine trees. He runs an hotel/bar/restaurant (with partners) and I am naturopath/nutritionist (give consultations, write recipe books ...). Our children are healthy, easy going on and bilingual (french/spanish). They love receiving friends and visitors. It is a great place for great walks in the park, we are 5 km from unspoilt beach, you can also enjoy many activities (horseriding, surf, bycicling ...). We can drop you at the bus station when you want to visit more of Andalucia on your day off. And when we drive out (everyday to school and more), we drop you so you can visit easily the nice little town around (Barbate, Vejer ...).Area: central
We are Gijs, Linda and Carlos, and run Camping Redondo where you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of running a small rural camping , located 9 kms from the historic city of Tomar and one hour.s drive from Lisbon. Here we attract a very international selection of chalet, caravan and tent guests who you will be able to assist with registrations and payments in addition to offering local tourist information and advice. In the mornings we need assistance with feeding and walking the animals, cleaning duties around the camping, laundry and chalet preparation. Occasionally there will also be maintenance or gardening chores to be undertaken. In the late afternoons the children like to walk with the animals or help with their feeding. In the evenings our guests enjoy to chat over a drink at the bar-terrace and on certain evenings we offer Camp Dinners to bring everyone together which you will be able to help prepare and serve.Area: Central Hawkes Bay
