    Description

Require only the serious coffee, organic farming, wildlife /jungle enthusiast, Yoga lovers .
We just opened a homestay on the farm so we need help looking after some homestay activities.
CURRENT PROJECT. COFFEE grading, yoga workshops,
Carpentry, earthwork landscaping, painting wall and artwork, kitchen Help, homestay guest coordinating.
Can accommodate up-to 8 this season.
Food and gas contribution 500rs per day.
Food, clean shared dorm, unlimited coffee to drink. Though we don't recommend you overdose.

Our plantations/farm is a completely off the grid project. The farm is located at an altitude of 1400 mts ASL surrounded by shola forest and vast grasslands. We are in a highly eco endemic and sensitive zone and we endure to respect that.Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary attained greater significance as it is identified as one of the two ecological and biological hot spots in India and covers an area of 492.30 Sq. Kms. Similarly ornithologists spotted 300 varieties of resident and migratory bird species in the BWS. Some of the species found in the BWS includes Grey Junglefowl, Red Spurfowl, Painted Bush Quail, Emerald Dove, Southern Green Imperial Pigeon, Great Black Woodpecker, Malabar Parakeet, Hill Myna, Ruby-throated Bulbul, Shama, Malabar Trogon, Malabar Whistling Thrush, four species of Hornbill and Racquet-tailed Drongo etc.

While our Remote location creates a lot of challenges for us it also provides long lasting sustainable alternatives for us to adopt. We completely source our electricity from mini hydro power turbine. We are trying to be as food sustainable as possible by growing over 25 different types of veggies and herbs(edible & medicinal) and hoping to include pulses in the coming season.
We have a lot of activities at the farm as any farm would but especially since we are converting into organic. We follow traditional polyculture system of agriculture with permaculture principles at the heart of it.

We grow coffee, cardamom, wild pepper, jamun and experimenting with a lot more fruiting trees. Our current projects are apiary , refurbishing antique furniture, soil healing through terracing, composting mulching(all year round), making liquid manure , Food forestry and reforestation(all year round), veggie garden(all year round), Micro hydel project(Apr-May), seed bank and many more.

We encourage our volunteer to innovate on some new creative projects that might add to what we are already doing or jump on any of the above projects as there is always work to be done on the farm.
We are located in Bhadra tiger reserve and the closest town is chikmangalur (Karnataka) is 23 km away. We are accessible by private bus going to Attigundi . Kindly intimate us prior to your arrival.
