A small family run bed and breakfast. We, Juliane and Cri are the hosts, both with a design background, and we have a beautiful little daughter Malou who is one year and 5 months. Our house is 5 mins walk from the guest house.
The guest house, Maries Gjestehus is a former congregation house, now beautifully restored and decorated only with organic oils and paints.
It is situated right in the middle of an idyllic car free island, and the guest house, in its peaceful surroundings, overlooks a lake where you can go for a refreshing morning dip.

We need help with lots of different things, but mainly preparing breakfast for the guests and cleaning and tidying the house as the guests leave.
Laundry, help with cooking, meeting guests as they arrive on the island, food shopping, gardening will also be part of possible required easy tasks.
We will give you a room, as well as breakfast and lunch ingredients. We can promise that you will find the guests who come to stay indeed lovely people, as the guest house with our simplicity concept only seem to attract really NICE and appreciative people!
In exchange we ask you to be (sorry, hate this word, but it is so important!) serviceminded, as you will be representing the guest house: meaning being friendly, open and helpful.
-You have to work from 8.30 pm- 11.30 am. 5 days per week (these times and tasks may vary depending on number of guests, and what happens on that day)
-As well as another hour or two later in the day. Perhaps do some shopping, laundry, meet some guests, help with dinner, or look after our daughter Malou.
We ask you to stay for at least two weeks.
The island, sandøya is great for someone who enjoys nature and a relaxed way of living. Lovely place for walking, biking and swimming.
