Family of three, mother and two sons. We live in a rural setting, close to Letterkenny and Derry surrounded by farmland and close to Lough Swilly. We have a large garden and plenty of room to host. You would have your own room and ideally blend into our fairly simple lifestyle. As i said we are a family of three, ! am 46, and my sons are 10 and 8 years, they live here most of the time but spend every other weekends with their dad. Interaction and good communication skills with kids would be an advantage. We have 2 cats so if your allergic it wouldn't work out and they have the run of the house also. I spent most of last year and so far this one too completing the renovations and extention to my home, so there are still little jobs to get done. I am an easy going very stable type of person, what you see is what you get, and i enjoy meeting new people. I have travelled some and lived in other countries also .so fairly wordly. If you are looking for somewhere to hang out for a while in a fresh and interesting location and have a good attitude towards work and communication then i think we should appeal. I trained as a ceramacist and was successfull with my own work, selling to stores all over ireland and USA, i put it on hold when i had my second son but now i am looking to get back to it. I have a studio at the back of my house why i plan to extend, so hopefully i will have a fully equiped ceramic studio on site also before the end of 2011. I am currently studying spanish and would like very much to develope my language skill, i can read spanish better than i can speak it, having someone to practice with eso seria fantastico.!!Language exchange is one of my main attractions for hosting. Gracias. Maria.Region: Namsos
We need a volunteer NOW! We bought a horse and a shetland pony that we have to collect before the 1st of July. Due to a cancellation we now have only one volunteer. Who would like to help us put together the horsestables? They are prefab, so no special skills required. Please ring or email if you are interested! We (Esther, 34 and Palli, 37) live on a farm in Bangsund (near Namsos, 180 km North of Trondheim). The farm consist of 85 ha ground, mostly forest and grassfields. We have 2 cats but no other animals. Previously, the farm was a shipyard and the main house dates from 1850 (see pictures). We both have full time jobs as doctors in the nearby hospital. We recently had a baby and Esther is therefore at home untill August 2010. After that, we will both be working during the days. We love to have visitors and are looking for 1 or 2 persons (couple?) to help us out. We expect you to work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We offer a room and 3 meals a day. You can also use our wireless adls internet, skype, 2 mountainbikes, small boat with motor to go onto the fjords, fishing and sports equipment. We enjoy going on weekend tours and here is the old motto the more the merrier! Please contact us when you are in the area. We are looking forward to your visit!Region: Massa D Carrara Tuscany
I am a writer and storyteller born in Scotland but have spent a great deal of time in Italy and I am currently living my lifelong dream of restoring a lovely old Tuscan villa and am looking for volunteers to help in exchange for full bed and board. I am hoping to be totally self sufficient here in my little homestead and to create an eco friendly food garden. I hope in the future to be able to host workshops here and enjoy visits from my very large and very busy family and group of friends. This is a beautiful part of Tuscany, in the mountains, surrounded by chestnut forests and rivers but close enough to the beach and skiing resorts (40 mins) to offer the best of all worlds. 15 mins from the fabulous medieval (and market) town of Pontremoli and just over an hour from Pisa, under 2 hours from Parma, Milan, Florence, Bologna and many other beautiful cities. It has everything including cheap and frequent flights to and from Pisa!Region: Aegean Coast Turkey
