We own a comfortable farmstay set on six acres of peaceful pasture a few minutes drive from Coromandel township. The Coromandel Peninsula is renowned for its scenic coastal route, magnificent beaches, bush walks, art trails and historic gold-mining sites.

I need helpers with high energy, motivation, initiative and commitment. In return you'll be well looked after. At the moment I need help with cleaning, making juice, gardening (some heavy work), general outdoor tasks and whatever else comes up. My standards are VERY high - spotless not just clean, meticulous attention to detail in the house. There's lots to learn and it's a rewarding place if you tend towards perfectionism, enjoy making an effort and seeing results. The helpers who've enjoyed being here are the ones who are prepared to work hard and who understand that the B&B is a business as well as my home and that I have to give priority to guest needs and maintain my standards at all times. Tasks are varied and it's important that you are a flexible person who is happy to change what you're doing according to what comes up during the day.

Caravan, shared bathroom (with host) and/or outdoor solar shower

We have a beautiful, tranquil, country bed & breakfast for up to 11 guests. There are lots of fruit trees (organic), an organic vegetable garden, flower gardens and native trees. It's a dynamic place - full of life, visitors and surprises and places to relax and be laid back. Helper's accommodation is in a lovely, self-contained caravan sometimes with your own bathroom, sometimes using an outdoor solar shower and sometimes sharing my bathroom depending on the number of guests. At the moment I prefer helpers who are willing to prepare their own meals in the caravan in return for 3-4 hours work per day (6 days per week). I will provide vegetables and fruit from the garden and if I've made too much for the guests' breakfasts (e.g homemade bread, juice, fruit salad) I usually ask if you would like it. It's easier for helpers with their own transport as there is no public transport in Coromandel and I'm 3kms from town (you can use one of my bikes). I always try to ensure that helpers experience the best that Coromandel has to offer - bush, beaches, walks, interesting flora and fauna, music, local events, good food, friendly people. At the same time I need time on my own in the evenings after working hard all day so you need to be independent and willing to spend time on your own too.Lesbians and gays welcome. NON-SMOKERS only.
