My wife and I are both professionals who chose a farming lifestyle 20 years ago. We converted a conventional farm into a certified organic farm producing wine, port, grappa & brandy, also olives, herbs, nuts and dried fruit. We are the only organic distillery in South Africa.

Work
Work varies with the season, but there are always some alien vegetation removal jobs. Seasonal work is harvesting grapes, olives, nuts & fruit, also vegetable garden work. Mulching young trees, irrigating, drying fruit, etc. i.e. lots of general mixed farming.
