Área: LouisianaI am a multi-talented practicing artist and experienced carpenter with expertise in historical restoration, solar passive concepts. I worked 10 years as a property developer for Belize ecology and wildlife projects including guesthouse construction; then returned to Louisiana where I re-plugged into the arts as a painter and jeweler, traveler to numerous countries to experience and gain creative inspiration. Most recently, I am designing the beginning stage to develop an art village and ecology park within a rural area of French Louisiana. This development, is in partnership with a non-profit organization. It is nationally recognized by its active and popular relationships with many activities and with other countries. You can be a part of this development by sharing your skills, energy and warm hearts. High energy folks like you can make the world go round with communication due to the internet connection. We like family type applicants so it becomes family in harmony.. I also own and operate a guesthouse , on a gorgeous lake.

Área: CrimeaWe are couple, Yasmine and Pasha with 4 cats so far going to build cob house in Crimea and need some help for that. I'm russian boy, 33yo, making wooden toys, letters, words and things in my tiny workshop and selling them online at Etsy. Yasmine is my persian princess, she's very good at painting, thinking, talking and cooking. We met online several years ago and decided to settle down in Sevastopol which is my Vaterland :) Cob building as the technique appeared in our life just recently, maybe a year ago and we totally fell in love with it. It took some time to figure out how, when, where we are going to build and finally we start our own cob house this spring. The place we are going to build is a gardening which close to one of the most beautiful semi-wild :) beach in Sevastopol, Crimea. We are nice, polite and funny; trying to eat healthy food but failing from time to time. This is who we are in a nutshell! March 2014 UPDATE We have build the little workshop last summer for me (think it will be my mancave as well :) ) Now the foundation and the stem wall for the main house is ready and i want to make a reciprocal roof first and then cob under it whole summer. The thing is that we don't know what will be in Crimea this summer. If you are into international news, you probably know, that Russia invades Crimea (which is part of Ukraine) right these days - so we are kind of on hold with the building :( So we keep our calendar open, but please contact me before. JULY 2014 UPDATE The 13 of house wall is ready, check the pics! For all helpers! First - thanks for your desire to help! :) Second - now everyone has to have russian visa to get here, please keep it in mind : Shower and toilet situation: Shower now has two options and one old technique: 1. Pump+hose, cold water from underground tank (very good for midday refreshing, it's +35 in a shade) 2. Black plastic 60 liters bottle with water which turns into boiling water during the day - for someone who like it hot! 3. Old technique with 6 liters plastic bottles remains as well, but abandoned ;) Toilet Same "free fall type" (excuse me for that) toilet as it was before. Wi-Fi!

We enjoy of surfing in our free time, do barbacues grill with red meat or fishes/shelfish with my friends drinking a good chilean red wine beside a bonfire in our backyard... and drinking pisco, of course!
Área: Northeast Germany ( Prignitz County, Brandenburg)Hello I am Pablo. I am a multi-media assemblage and installation artist and have been living and working in Berlin, Paris and New York for most of the past 10 years. In order to come back down to Earth, I recently acquired a quaint farm in rural NE Germany, located exactly midway between Hamburg and Berlin. Although I am still very active with my artist projects I have become equally as dedicated to renovating and developing my farm. Some of the stables and out buildings have already been converted to artist studios and residences for ongoing international visiting artist programs. We do maintain a small stock of farm animals such as chickens, ducks, rabbits and sheep, with of course the obligatory farm cats to hunt the mice. Additionally there is a working vegetable garden with fruit trees, berry bushes and strawberry patches to tend to. All volunteers will be integrated into our daily life and be offered the opportunity to participate in and help coordinate all our local, cultural and civic projects here. In addition to volunteers from Workaway, the farm is also home during the summer months to various artists who are participating in any one of our artist residency or artist workshop programs. This combination enables artists and workawayers alike, the chance to make new friends along the way on life's exciting journey. I myself have spent a number of years living and travelling around Europe and Central America and therefore understand and share the excitement of your decision to embark on such an endeavour as this Workaway project. I look forward to welcoming you to our project and as part of our ever increasing international family.
