Region: Coimbra and CenterWe are a family of four - a couple with two young boys (8 and 3 years old). We decided to come and live in the "wild" for a couple of years now. We're off grid. We love to be part of the community that wellcomed us here. We respect them and work close by with them. We don't want to live apart from the locals. Our place, is a powerful corner of the Earth - mostly 5 ha of wild land (not much to do about it!). We began to farm some of our food last year and we have animals around here - midget goats, two friendly dogs and a donkey. We welcome friendly people to come and visit us and experience the kind of living we believe in - living in simplicity. ... a piece of land ...a family ...a simple living project ... a community living project a place for PEACE!
Region: LimónMy name is Veronica . I am married and have five kids who are now grown up. We grew up in a little town at the Caribbean Coast in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. My descendants and family are Jamaican. We are very proud of our culture. I grew up in a Cristian family were I learned about natural Healing and that we need to take care of our mind, body, soul and we need to find the balance between the tree of them. My grandparents and parents were naturalist, it means that they always worked with plants and herbs. When somebody is sick or has an allergy, they cure them with their knowledge of the plants, trees and herbs. They passed it on to us and my husband and I continue to pass our home remedies (: like fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables) to our children and to other people who wants to change their lives in a healthy way. All these are my inspiration along with the bible and nature that show me that my body is the temple of the holy spirit were God abides. The son , the water, the air, exercise, making time and the trust of God are the law of nature. My husband and I still lives in this small town in Puerto Viejo where everybody knows us and where we do community serves for other people. I am the only person in Puerto Viejo who offers a restaurant with Vegetarian - Vegan and Raw food. I would like to promote healthy food so more people from all over the world can come and taste my delicious food!! My husband offers tours, but meanly he do the transportation from San Jose to Puerto Viejo and other places. We also offer Home Remedies with our natural products ,Caribbean Cooking Classes, consulting about health, Spanish lessons, volunteer projects. We have rooms in our house, Cabinas and a farmhouse for rent.

Region: AndalusiaWe are a 50-something couple with four dogs and a small micro hotel near Orgiva in Andalucia, southern Spain. We live 30 minutes from the coast at Motril, 45 minutes from Granada and 1 hour 15 minutes from Sierra Navada's skiing resort. Our village is 4km from the busy town of Orgiva with many bars, shops and a busy market on Thursday mornings. NB There is NOTHING in our village except homes! So you would need to go to Orgiva for the closest bar and shops. We go regularly and would offer a lift when we do or you could borrow our mountain bikes or walk (4km - about one hour). We have renovated our cortijo and it is now three luxury self-catering suites for couples only. We have four dogs so at the very least you will need to be experienced in handling dogs. We are a very relaxed and informal pair who enjoy the Spanish way of life which includes the language, sun, lovely fresh food and wine!
