Área: Baden-WürttembergI am a French professor, leaving with my 14 years old dauther, in Freiburg and teaching in this city. and she goes to secondary school.
Área: New MexicoI am an older woman, living on five mostly undeveloped acres just outside Roswell, N.M. (yes, THAT Roswell) who needs help mostly outside, trying to make my property self-sustainable. I'm learning as I go, so trying new things is always fun. I'm semi-retired, but work very odd hours. I've been a sports writer (I love baseball), editor and photographer, ran my own sports Web site and still do freelance writing and work for local schools, helping with sporting events. I also merchandise and mystery shop, all of which keeps me out and about, so I need folks who can work on their own but don't mind working with me or others as may be. I've got two very old cats, two llamas, a goat (hoping for another soon), five chickens and a fish pond, as well as a garden which can produce pretty much year round. My only restrictions: no pets, firearms, drugs and smokers MUST smoke outdoors only. I don't cook (so love people who do) and am nowhere near a neat freak. My house always looks lived in. I'd love to have you come enjoy the bounty of my gardens and the wonders of southeastern New Mexico, and help me turn this patch of desert/prairie into a self-sufficient abode.
Área: QueenslandHi, my name is Peter. I have lived in Agnes Water for around 16 years. I have a small property on the outer edge of the small Agnes Water township. I have been a host with other similar organisations for about 4 years and have hosted people from many countries such as France, Germany, England, Austria, Brazil, America, South Korea, China, Japan, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Israel and Belgium. I like to spend time with my visitors and get to know them. I particularly like to help people to improve their English and show them around the local area. Agnes Water is a small coastal town about half way between Bundaberg and Gladstone in Queensland. The attractions here are the quiet, laid back type lifestyle, Kangaroos, Uncrowded and Secluded golden sandy Beaches, Swimming, Sunbathing, Surfing, Fishing, Great Barrier Reef access and National parks. There are some great coastal bush walks that weave their way along the beaches and rocky headlands to take in the stunning coastal scenery. (The secluded beaches here are great for private/nude, sunbathing/tanning and swimming with nobody around). I like to take my visitors to these beaches so that they can enjoy this freedom. Some of them have really appreciated having opportunity to swim or lay in the sun without the need for a bathing suit. (During the warmer months (September - May) I would only like visitors to be comfortable with spending time nude at the beach during their stay here). After receiving much interest in the clothes-free experiences I now also offer for you to be clothes-free in my home. (Clothes-free indoors but due to having neighbours should wear clothing while doing any outdoor work). (I only want visitors that are open-minded enough to try being natural and clothes-free during their stay here). I often help my visitors with their English while spending time on the beach with them. (I am happy to host nudists) I like to help my visitors to experience as many of the above activities as possible. I have a large DVD collection and I have found that watching movies with my visitors can be very helpful with improving their English skills. I often watch a movie with my visitors after an evening meal. If you like nature, quiet places, the environment, the beach, swimming in the ocean or the idea of relaxing without your bathing suit on a secluded beach, then there is much for you to see and experience in this area. (I've had a few people here now that do not like to spend any time on the beach or are not interested having the chance to swim in the ocean. If this is your attitude - than my place is not the place for you. Agnes Water is a beach-side community and has some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia and is a great place to go for a swim in the ocean). The water temperature is suitable for swimming all year round. (20 - 23 degrees in July - the coldest time of the year). During the summer months, Sea Turtles come ashore on the local beaches for nesting. I am happy to take people out to observe this during December and January.
Área: OtagoTe Nohoaka o Tukiauau / Sinclair Wetlands is a 315-hectare privately-owned wetland and important bird habitat, the wetland is protected under a QEII open space covenant and is regarded as the largest and most important privately owned wetland in New Zealand. The wetland consists of ponds, water channels, swamplands and a couple of re-vegetating islands and hosts over 60 species of birds which live in, or regularly visit the wetland. In exchange for accommodation we require helpers for maintenance, up keep and enhancement of the wetlands. As the wetlands is a non profit organisation (and is run by a Trust with minimal funding - not a business) we are unable to provide food or wi-fi or luxuries. However, by choosing an exchange with us your help will have a positive environmental impact, rather than creating a monetary gain for a business. Along the way you will discover what makes conservation in N.Z. so unique. Work can include: weed eradication, predator trapping, track maintenance, tree planting, bird surveying, nursery and plant work, worm farming, grounds keeping etc. Come and enjoy staying in a peaceful and important conservation environment. The volunteer house is well equipped, quiet and private (although can be cold at times - come prepared!). We have kayaks on-site, bush walks nearby, and we are close to the Catlins and the Southern scenic route. Your host's are a friendly young couple in their late 20's who enjoy nature, outdoor activities and sports, photography and art, good food and encouraging a sustainable world! We are 50km from Dunedin set among rural farms on the Taieri Plains (close to the airport) Allow 35 minutes drive from Dunedin city. *Please come prepared for working in the outdoors, and the willingness to live in a conservative manner.
Área: Greater-Accra and Central Region-GhanaWe work in Ghana to provide impoverished, orphaned and street children with Health Care and Education. We need volunteers to help with teaching in one of our partner schools (any subject of your preferred choice), helping in local hospitals (i.e. during child delivery in the Maternity Unit), holding HIV/Aids awareness talks etc. These are only a few examples of the things you could be doing here in Ghana and we are willing to accommodate you with any skills you may have. If you have an idea in which area you would like to volunteer you can also let us know and we will see if such an opportunity is available.
