Freiwilligenarbeit in Norwegen - Biofarm am Meer

We are a family of five living on the south west coast of Norway. We run a small organic farm on the shore of the sea. We are building up our farm and have a lot of plans and ideas of what we want to do. We are moving slowly towards a permaculture farm and find our life very exciting, challenging and meaningfull.
We have sheep and pigs and feed up some calfs from time to time. We want chickens. We also grow food for the animals and potatoes, vegetables to our self and for sale. We also have some fruits and berries. Most of the time we have smaller or bigger buildingprojects.
The farm and small children and some extra work to get in some needing money fill most of our time. But we very much like to get out and about in the mountains, forest, sea or anywhere nice to explore around us. We also love books, games and a good conversation. We are trying to make as little mark on earth as possible without being to successful...

We would love to get someone who would like to work and be part of our farm. We need help in the garden, taking care of animals and the barn, fencing and clearing fields, weedcontrol, working with vegetables, painting, woodworking and everything else happening on the farm. To help out on our buildingsite is also possible. We would also like the volunteer to take it`s part in keeping the house and kitchen as a familymember.
In order to make the stay with us meanigfull we ask you for a minimum stay of two weeks. We have experienced though that one month (or even longer) figures out even more rewarding for both sides. This provides time for getting into a task as well as giving the opportunity for you to also expereince results of the work you are doing.
(things don't go fast in agriculture)
We would of course want to know about the interests and skills you have.

There is one room in the house and one in a seperate part of our old barn. In the busy season it the rooms might be shared by two people. Bath would be shared with other volunteers.

We hope to give you a good experience. We are very strong comitted to the farm and our life here. We hope that staying with us gives you more than it takes, in learning a bit about norwegians, a bit more about organic farming.

This was my first workaway experience and it was excellent.
I am probably older than the average workaway but you made me feel so welcome and looked after me. The food you cooked was great and so was the conversations we had.
I really enjoyed working on your farm especially looking after the pigs.

I can only recommend everyone to work on this farm.
Bodil and Alex are hard-working, inspiring and really nice people!The food was just yummy and the location near the shore made it a great experience! I stayed there for 3 weeks but it was not anywhere near long enough!If you are interested in organic farming this is the place to go cause they more

Thank you for all the hard working you put in to our farm, always being positive and giving it a go. And for almost "killing" yourself with dragging branches for woodchopping! We love when we get interested people on the farm which want to learn and experience new thing. You were also really good to get on the bike and explore the area. We look more

Thank you so much Clement! You worked really hard, took initiative for things to do and everything you did you did great! You even managed potatoepicking for hours and that kind of work are only for the few!

Big thanks to you all again!!! Bodil and Alex you are probably the most hard working people I have met in Europe and no doubt people with the greatest passion, confidence and belief in what they do which made my stay (though not long enough) one of the most inspiring experiences!

I stayed in October with Alex and Bodil and had a lovely time at their farm by the sea ! (The sea is literally just down the garden path!) The farmwork was light and quite fun, and we did a lot of projects inside, mainly repainting the hallway a brilliant white, and some food storing. The surroundings are beautiful, the room is comfy, we had lots more
