My name is Maxine , a proud co-owner of the mansion of my grandma. The mansion works as a Bed&Breakfast, its located in a small city called San Carlos, in the province of Mendoza, in the middle of the wine area, and The mountains of LOS ANDES. We have got here a family business, the Hotel has 12 rooms, its an old monastery of XVII; We also have got a zoo, with local animals. 110 Horses, and 66 dogs; We take care of all the street dogs of almost this whole city, Giving them shelter and food, and some love. This is really a beautiful place, because we also have got a local croissanterie, where everything is made by hand, and with love. We would love to receive volunteers from all over the world, in change for accomodation in our 4 stars hotel, and the necessary things to help us with our business, and have an extraordinary time at this fairytale hotel. We've got an international family, so we speak almost every language! *** Now looking for helpers in March *** Bonjour! We are Dalila (french), Pete (english), Emilie (3 years old) and Sidney (born in august 2011). Our place is an old château set in 29 acres of meadow, in the Pyrénées mountains, 1h30 south of Toulouse. We've finished renovating the interior of the château in 2009, and with sustainability in mind, installed solar panels for hot water, photovoltaic panels for electricity, rain water collection, composting. We're using our own wood for cooking and heating in the winter; and using fruits and vegs from our garden in the summer months. We're now onto our next projects of renovating the outbuildings, landscaping the garden and generally maintaining the grounds of the property. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic people who enjoy physical work, being outdoors, who show initiative and are fairly independant, as we both work from a home office and looking after our little ones keeps us busy! Experience of using chainsaw and power tools is necessary! The help we need includes: - chainsaw, cut and split wood for heating next winter - tidy the grounds (weeding, strimming etc) - cut and clear out dead trees across the property - render and joint newly built stone walls - prepare our veg patch for planting - ongoing building work to renovate the outbuilding (windows, put up beams for flooring, etc.) - spring clean the house (windows, chandeliers, etc)

Our Artfarm is a art dream in progress. It is hoped that in the future it will be a centre for art/film/music/workshops/classes and residencies for anybody with a dream of using their creativity in some way. Some day classes have already been run here including woodcarving and mosaic classes which were a great success. The dream is a work in progress with the ongoing restoration of house, outhouses and haybarn as studio space and organic veg plot slowly expanding. This creative space is in a rural setting in east Galway, 35 miles from Galway city, 15 miles from Roscommon town. It has a minimal footprint ethos with a great respect and love for the space and all its ecosystem. It is hoped that this centre can be a place where the local community both young and old are made welcome and where visiting workshop participants and artists can feel at home. It is hoped this place can be eco rather than ego driven. Anyone with an interest in art and environment is welcome here.

Summary: Our project is a "new" ecovillage on Ilha das Couves and we are seeking environmentally minded volunteers to help with all services involved with creating and operating a sustainable community - from bottom up. The coastal area of Sao Paulo is beautiful and part of the original mata atlantic rainforest - a highly visable and valuable earth resource. We will be planting a permaculture organic farm, clearing an eco trail system and setting up bamboo geo domes to accommodate overnight guests. Our plan is to offer educational and spiritual empowerment training programs to small groups and corporate envirnomental retreats. This opportunity has started and will continue year round. Short term and long term assignments available. Our organization is a registered Brasilian non profit. We are ready, willing and able to help you learn and grow. Brasil requires most countries to issue a tourism visa before traveling. Please check to verify what your requirements are before traveling. Note: We do not supply insurance. You can get insurance policy as necessary from private providers. Your assistance is greatly needed and appreciated. This opportunity is a great cultural exchange and unique living experience. We try to keep food expenses around 15 reais per day..this includes three healthy meals each day will fresh fish, fruits, veggies, nuts etc..We have plenty of coconuts and bananas already growing and will start producing much more produce in the coming months.
