Help at farm and guiding tourists around a lava cave in Iceland
Area: CENTRAL MACEDONIA,GOUMENISSA, MOUNT PAIKO,
Hey everybody, ************************ LAST UPDATE (10/12/12)......We are looking for people from the 8th of January 2013, we have some projects starting then, fencing, hatchery preparing and planting trees and herbs and things around the house, all depending on weather of course.... Cheers! ************************ My partner Dirk and me (Maria) have chosen to live in the North part of mainland Greece, Central Macedonia, Goumenissa at Mount Paiko region after travelling and living around the world. After Aug 2012, in our family we also have our little Achilleas! The small town is located at the foothill of mountain Paiko, our perception of 'heaven on earth'. We are into all short of projects, on tourism promotion for this area, along with running a small traditional guesthouse ('home away from home' as our guests describe it!) and we are also renovating our home at a small village next to Goumenissa, called Pentalofo. Goumenissa, where the guesthouse is, is a 4.500 people town, at the foothill of Mount Paiko, where one can find five visitable wineries, a music culture of self taught brass band musicians and a few bars and tavernas, quite vivid during summer and less busy during the rest of the year. During the next months (November & December 2012) we're interested in getting some help with preparing and working in the garden, and when the weather does not permits help with the everyday work we do at the guesthouse and the house maintenance...or Achilleas' maintenance! We are looking forward to receive structured visitors that - share our passion for nature and working out doors - are willing to share knowledge and experience, teach us what they know, but also to learn from us - are broad minded, easygoing and appreciate the value of laughter and humor in life! - are willing to help us around on our daily duties and plans - take initiative and are self motivated in contributing - have ideas and positive energy to contribute on the development and marketing of this area we live in. We HIGHLY appreciate people who can take initiative and do not need to be asked all the time to do things. Our day routine is pretty much straight forward...we totally understand that people would have things to ask or that they might need to know a few things before they start really contributing....what we don't understand, is why people would get into all this trouble of entering the network and start arranging visits to people, unless they have sth to offer or a contributing and a mutually exchanging mentality!!!Area: Kainuu

Here is a newly established library in Nepal located in Chitwan, a rural village. We started this library in a small room of a house. A modern building is also being constructed that will become a new library for local children. We are providing great opportunities to those children who are unable to access extra services not provided by schools, this will also help children that are unable to get adequate English education. Any volunteering to donate your time and skills as a teacher in our children library would be much appreciated and would help greatly to improve the development of the community. You can spend your gap year, career break or an extended holiday helping children learn English in a fun, enjoyable, friendly and educational way. You can gain invaluable work experience without any previous experience and discover more about yourself and the embedded culture in Nepal through this program. This library is located on the Bank of the Royal Chitwan National Park and the Rapti River in Meghauli which is the eldest and one of the finest wildlife safari destinations in Asia. There are more than 45 species of mammals in the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, royal Bengal tiger and the gharial crocodile along with many other common species such as gaur, wild elephant, four-horned antelope, striped hyena, pangolin genetics dolphin, chital, hog deer, barking deer, Solth bear, palm civet, langur, rhesus monkey and 450 species of birds. Availability now! Hello Workawayers We are an English couple living in a small rural hamlet in south-west France 10 kilometers from the nearest small town, and 40 kilometers south of Poitiers. Due to recent ill-health our garden is a little out of control, and we'd like to find somebody who would be happy to lend a hand with weeding and helping to tidy up generally. You don't need any particular gardening skills, just be cheerful and willing, and enjoy a quiet country life. There are beautiful fields to walk/cycle around, and we can provide transport into town and show you around. We have two large friendly dogs, two small goats and a parrot. We are vegetarians, but carnivores are welcome if they provide and cook their own meat. We are relaxed and friendly and will do our best to make your stay enjoyable. We have availability from mid-May onwards. If you think this might be something you would enjoy, and would like any other information, do get in touch.
