Area: SkopjeI live in the hills over the city of Skopje, walking distance to everything, but in a quiet residential neighborhood. All the city has to offer is withing your reach, and the rest of the country can be easily explored by bus. Right up the street begins a forest and you can hike to the Millennium Cross, a 12th Century monastery, and views of the whole valley. Recently I have started a small hostel on the ground floor of the house. So, I need help with running my mini-hostel - cleaning, changing sheets, reception, work with guests... But as winter is coming, there are less and less guests, so I will have some room for a volunteer. You will be staying in a house with a relatively large yard with many fruit trees, grapes, etc. I grow everything organically - do not use any pesticides nor artificial fertilizer. The house and yard needs maintenance and I could use some help to this regard. I also lead a new non-profit and could use some help there - research, web design, maintaining web page, marketing material development, Facebook pages, administration, and proposal writing... and open to other ideas too. Latest I need is someone to organize my digital photo library - is there a superhero for the job? :) For short term stays in my house the guest would have a modest private room or possibly a bed in the dorm of 4 if the place gets crowded, occasional meals, and access to a small kitchen. I do not have time to cook every day, so you would be often on your own - I am happy to provide basic food supplies, but please plan to cover most of your meals on your own. You will share bathroom with other guests. I have a WIFI and can offer a computer to use if you do not have your own. You enjoy relative freedom with your time in return for a bit of help with the yard and house maintenance/repairs, and/or non-profit help as described above. I would not expect more that effective 3-4 hours a day, depending on schedule. Happy to show you around and maybe go together for a weekend trip in the vicinity.
Area: South AustraliaWe live between Adelaide and Melbourne in what was once a desert. Now it is green, and much has been learnt about farming in this unique land of australia! Come and learn a little :) We love to share life with you. Be ready to jump on the ute, or tractor, or on the motorbike to see a little different side of Australia. Our food is simple, but certainly enough. We share what we have. Your challenge is to gain the trust of mum and dad (and understand their 'australian - and BE understood!!) so that they have a day off while you are here!! It will be great to have you. Come for a week, with a view to 2.

Area: Cadiz RegionAndy & I have an Art Studio in a beautifully restored 18th century Andalucian house in the centre of a 'Pueblo Blanco'. Our primary business is painting and drawing classes for local people and residential painting holidays. Alcala is on the edge of the Alcornocales Park so we also offer B&B or self catering accommodation for walkers, bird watchers, Spanish learners and holiday makers in general. We have lived here for 5 years, we think this area of Andalucia is spectacularly beautiful and that the local people are friendly and welcoming. We have both travelled widely and we enjoy meeting new people, we respect the need for volunteers privacy. We also have a small and very friendly dog (Jorge), he loves to go for long walks with anyone who is willing!
Area: VictoriaA little (almost organic) market garden specialising in rare and unusual fruits and vegetables and selling at local farmers markets. I am dedicated to promoting home food growing in the general community. We are situated in a small rural town in Victoria. I am especially happy to have helpers who love getting their hands in the dirt and have a future dream of building their own plant based business or market garden and am willing to provide teaching of all facets of food growing and selling to anyone who is interested, along with accomodation and meals in return for a few hours work each day. Work could include: Weeding, helping at the markets, harvesting, seed saving, hand pollinating, planting and more. I like variety in my work and offer that to all helpers. Small cabin for one or two people and meals with the family. No smokers or drinkers please. International helpers must have own insurance and current work visa as well as being respectful and speaking English. There is a bus service from Melbourne or Mt Gambier to get here and plenty of activities for your days off including bushwalking, local pool and bus to nearby towns and shops, sightseeing. Internet available. Washing water is restricted in the warmer months and unless we get rain, there may only be enough for two or three showers a week in summer.
