Area: NorrbottenWe are a family of five who live approximatley 40 km north of the Artic circle. A couple in our early & middle thirtys plus our three children age 9, 4 and 2. Our oldest son is very active and loves playing football. I do running as exercise and also cause I like it. At the moment we do alot of packing and working on the house as we need to get it all done asap. We value our family time and like both hard work and relaxing during our holiday. Usually I study fulltime and my man works fulltime. Our children go to school and nursery. During summer time you can experience lovely summers nights that never end as the midnight sun stays up all night. You can enjoy bike rides in our tiny village, less than 100 people live here so it is a very quiert place. Take a walk in the beautiful forest and appreciate some quiet time to yourself. Great possibility to meditate and admire the nature. If you’re lucky you might see wild animals of the north, such as moose, reindeer, squirrel, hare and maybe even a bear. Relax and try our old fashion style sauna or indoor sauna. Perhaps take a run or go swimming in the river. Ideal for a person who needs or likes a peaceful and tranquil stay. Celebrate Swedish midsummer with us and maybe even one of the biggest markets in the north (if you are over during those dates). We are looking for volunteers with a great work attitude who can help us to scrape and repaint our house which will be the main priority, we need to get that done as we are selling our home after summer. Carrying and packing stuff for our move, or just normal housework could be other tasks to do once the house is done. It’s very important to us that you are happy with your stay and that we are happy with your work, that’s why we value honesty and an open dialogue to improve both ways. We are hoping to make new friends for life, learn about a new culture and to teach about our country and life in north of Sweden. Ideally you are a volunteering couple who already know each other, i.e friends, partners, lovers, siblings, cousins etc. We would like to have two volunteers so if we can’t find two volunteers who already know one another we will look for two from different places. This means you need to be a friendly and outgoing person who gets on well with others. You will be sharing our cosy caravan with the other volunteer, if we can get hold of two, if not you will be living in the caravan on your own. We would like to have you staying with us for 2 weeks ( a possibility of extending to 3 if you really wish so). We would love to get 2 volunteers to stay with us for 2 weeks. The reason for this date enquiry is that we would like to get house painted as soon as possible! as we want to sell our house. Beginning of June I will have to travel away for a week but will be back weekend before the 9th. We have got a house in Pajala, 35km from Kardis, that we are planning on buying. Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully also meeting YOU in the north of Sweden.
Area: TasmaniaWe are looking for 1 0r 2 people any time of the year.....there is two of us in total, Paul and Claire. we have a landscape / nursury yard in our closest town that is open 7 days a week, sometimes there is not a lot to do at the yard so it may be expected to be on our farm, our home. looking after animals, farm work, or garden and home maintence, while we are at work. We have home cooked meals every week night involving home grown vegetables and meat, weekends may tend to be a bit more casual with lighter meals or bbqs. we live 10 minutes out of town, wynyard being our home town, which is where our landscape yard is. popular tourist destinations are not far travelling distances, involving such places as Launceston, Cradle mountain, Smithton, and Straghn, creating a nice area for our visitors to visit in their free time. We think it would be lovely to share our little piece of country life with someone, making a stay with us enjoyable by both parties. We don't get a lot of time off from the yard and farm, but when we can we may be able to take you places to get a look around, other wise we can guide you and help you get to places for a look. we guarrentee a warm welcome into our own home. No smokers please
Area: South West France - DordogneWe're a family of three, we're English and have lived in this beautiful corner of France for 7 years. My husband and I have been working on our house and garden for a few years and it seems a never ending project. We have a 16 year old son, who goes to the local Lycee. We're keen to get many small projects finished this year ... particulary in the garden and an extra pair of hands would be very welcome from someone who knows their way around a veg plot and flower bed. We also would like to finish indoor carpentry so anyone good with wood is also welcome!

There is plenty of work to keep you busy! LOOKS LIKE ENGLAND WILL HAVE A NICE SUNNY SUMMER THIS YEAR!! - THANKS FOR READING MY PROFILE ANY ENGLISH SPEAKING BLOKES OUT THERE WITH SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN PLUMBING WOULD BE MORE THAN WELCOME HERE!! ****************************************************** Hi - my name is Gillian Murton, I am single and 56 years old. I am a very friendly, positive outgoing person, I like meeting new people, and socialising and relaxing with a drink. I moved into a large 4 bedroom farmhouse in April 2013 with the intention of eventually turning it into a Bed & Breakfast - but at the moment it's a Building site. Having completed the insualtion of 6 out of 8 rooms, I would really appreciate some skilled assistance in plaster-boarding the downstairs rooms; insulating the lofts and building a floor in the loft; also painting the new plaster; numerous small carpentry and DIY jobs. ONE OR TWO would be brilliant for the current work in hand. My house is in the middle of beautiful green English countryside, 4 miles from the South Coast of England in the county of East Sussex. The house is on a quiet country lane on the edge of a beef farm, with sheep in the next field and chickens next door. I have a tabby cat called Chloe. You will be near the seaside towns of Hastings, Bexhill and Battle, and there are rail links to London, but there is NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT - trains or buses - within walking distance of my house. I am happy to drive you to and from the station, and for trips at the weekend, but not every day. I have good access to internet. It is a beautiful and quiet place to stay.
Area: British ColumbiaSorry, no help needed for the rest of 2013 and 2014 - I am traveling myself. Bon Voyage to all! An American in Canada, I am a single female, emergency veterinarian living with a cat who, with the help of my various workawayers and couchsurfers is becoming more and more social and 2 year old border collie cross who is mellow for his type, but still needs plenty of exercise and has, generally, loved all my visitors. I co-own a 3 unit 100 year old character home with another couple in the heart of Victoria only a block from the ocean. Due to a change in their work circumstances, my co-owners have moved away leaving me with lots to do around the house prior to my own departure in October. I have traveled to approximately 30 countries mostly in Asia and Europe. Originally from Northern California, I have lived in Brooklyn, NY, Taiwan, Hong Kong and now Canada. Waiting for the universe to tell me where I should go next. When not working I am gardening, hiking, and doing anything I can to get the dog tired. I've recently joined a sailing group and am planning a few camping trips this summer. I will be heading to Europe for 4 months in the fall. I've really enjoyed working with and getting to know my workawayers this summer. What a great opportunity for us all!
