Area: New York StateGreetings from our organic farming community, located forty five minutes north of Albany in the fertile Battenkill Valley. Our family warmly invites you to experience our unique life of friends and togetherness. We are situated on over one hundred acres of gently rolling hills and lush river bottom land. Growing a wide assortment of vegetables and medicinal herbs for a farm stand and our own community use, heritage breed poultry, milking a small herd of dairy goats, raising sheep and donkeys, maintaining the beautiful grounds of the estate, and operating a cottage industry keep us busy and open for new friends year round. In addition to the normal farm crew and volunteers, we also have a great time doing the "community night" in the field, with everyone coming out for one evening a week to join in the work and reward of getting our hands in the soil. Guests are frequent all year round and we would love to have you join us. Whether you come for a day or come to stay, our hearts and our farm will always have room for more. Update: Spring 2014 Greenhouse harvesting and planting is in full swing. More harvesting than we can keep up with, but the new crew of volunteers has been great and many new friendships being made. Also new goat kids and lamb, as well as many chicks to care for. Plenty of work to keep us busy!

We have a vision about a self-sufficient compound of two projects: 1. Mini CAMPING + Camper PLACE. It is situated in our homestead. We live in a small village. Camping already runs from 2009. 2. EcoFARM + HOSTEL- located 700 meters from our camping. We are starting up. We bought the farm in 2012. It is built in 1924 with 1.5 ha of land. Between the farm and the main Baltic's road E67 is 1 km wide forest. Next to the farm is a nature reserve. We started to adapt the farm for travelers, who want to stay in authentic lithuanian environment which prevailed more than fifty years ago, when almost every lithuanian family was following organic farming principles and respectful use of natural gifts. We just start to make to reality permaculture ideas there. And for the future we would like to provide a meeting place for individuals and for goups from all over the world to learn LT fauna and flora and to exchange in the field of agro-permaculture. And we would like to offer for the visitors of our mini camping fruits and vegetables, eggs from the eco- farm. Everything for us is more like a dream - hobby. PETS AND …We have a cat Pukis , a dog Meta. Here are already 5 bees families.

Area: Lower SaxonyI´m a social worker, 60, and fosterfather of two brothers, 15 and 16 years old - since eight years. We live in a house with garden 100 km south of Hamburg in the country near two little towns: Lüchow and Dannenberg - Wendland A dog, some hens, rabbits and two goats are the animals in the moment.. Every day the boys get help with there homework by a nice women for few ours and also there is a nice lady who helps in the house. In the past there was no time to do my garden. But now I try a project together with the boys. We just startet: self sufficiency. It´s my dream since a long time and now the children are ready to accept their responsibility and like to be a part of the project . More or less. We are not fanatic, we just try to get more natural foot and dont eat industrial meat , of course we still buy things in the supermarket. We want to respect the nature and try to contribute a bit of our possibilities. We respect each other and every individual. Next year I will take up disabled children for one or two weeks uring school-holliday to relive their parents - and fortunately get the same for me. For this stay it´s good to have a project like ours to involve the Children. But first it must work. Now we are looking forward to meet people who are interested to live with us for a time bringing idears for the garden and the project and like to help us for a wile. Together it´s much easier and makes fun. We are interested in meeting people with different culture and habits and sharing experiences. Meanwhile it´s late summer and the garden overgrows again, it´s too much work and I couldn´t forsee the quantity of work. The boys are teenies now, and so it´s on me...... So I think, I need help to save what I can and don´t give up.
