Área: British ColumbiaMy husband and I are in our late twenties and trying to reboot the family farm that has been his parents and grandparents for almost a hundred years. We are expecting our first child this summer and have a lot to do around the farm too, as summer is our busy season. We have a one acre apple orchard and we produce apple cider, two large greenhouses, where we grow heirloom tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers for sale at the local store and market. We also grow garlic, other vegetables, and sell preserves. We have seven head of cattle, several sheep, ducks, chickens and guineafowl. It isn't a big farm, but it is big enough that we would love any help you could give!
Área: In between Huelgoat and Carhaix in Central BrittanyWe are an English family, myself and three lovely children (aged 10 d twins of 6, living on a old farm
Área: Mae SotWe are an initiative of 4 parents who want to home school our children with the help of a teacher. We have in total 6 kids age 2 to 6. The home schooling will take place at the spacious home of one parent with a garden for out door activities. We would like our children to learn to read and write in English, basic mathematics, and basic science. We have lots of teaching material (phonics etc), Wifi, computer and printer. The rationale is that our children are not ready to integrate into the Thai school system, which is very dated in its methodology. As this is a new venture for you and us, we would like a commitment for at least 6 – 12 months. We will have structured class time from Monday to Friday from 8-12. Ideally you are a nursery or middle school teacher (native English speaker) with a Montessori or comparable training. You are independent in your work, but as we start to work together, we would like to check in with you fortnightly, informally, about the progress (or problems) of the kids.
Área: vesteraalenWe have no place left in 2014, check our calender! Our place is on a small island in Vesteraalen, northern Norway. In summer you can see the midnightsun, in winter the northern lights. We have a fantastic wild nature around us with excellent oppurtunities for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, rowing, picking berries and mushrooms, meditations.... We try to produce food on our own like growing of potatoes, herbs and vegetables, picking berries in order to make jams and juices, baking bread. We have some sheep of an old norwegian race, too and outside the door is the sea with local fresh fish.
Área: ScotlandWe live on a beautiful island connected to the village of Badachro by a floating foot bridge. On the island lives Ian a fisherman, Jess his partner who sells shellfish and 2 girls aged 6 and 4. We also have 2 self catering places that sleep 2 people each. The island is 10 mins walk from a lovely Badachro Inn and Gairloch is 5 miles away with shops, drs, leisure centre etc. The area is very beautiful with seals, otter and pine martens on the island and beautiful beaches a short cycle(cycles provided) or drive away. Lovely walking and stunning mountains.
