Área: British ColumbiaWe are a large, lively multi-cultural family living on a developing farm in a beautiful country area of British Columbia, Canada. We have a large family with eight children. At home we have six children varying in ages from 8-16. Our oldest two live in different cities, as they are 22 and 20. All of the children are well-behaved, respectful, well-adjusted, awesome, friendly, hard-working, obedient, kind children. We have six boys, and two girls. The boys are 8, 10, 14, and 16, and the girls are 9 and 10. Ray is a self-employed contractor who builds houses. Our children are home-educated and very capable farm and house hands with a large variety of talents and interests. The whole family is responsible for getting things done. We live in a lovely family-built house on 167 acres of a mixture of forest, small lake, meadows, and farm land. In our local area we have: a small mountain for downhill skiing; A health ranch for horseback riding, swimming, cross-country skiing, tubing and working out; hundreds of lakes for swimming, fishing, skating, and boating; miles of land to hike and explore and mountain bike on; two golf courses; dog-sledding; ice-skating arena; a local rodeo, plus, a larger stampede; and so much more! In our own property we frequently see deer and the occasional moose. We even saw a bear and cubs last spring!

Área:We were normal people with normals lives until we wanted to make a change in our lives... for this reason we left our "civilized lives in the city" to live in our 120 he. plot of native woodland at the foot of the Andes Mountains with no cellular signal, no internet and almost no communication with the "outside world", but with a plenty of fun and mostly a lot of connection to pure nature. We recently launched our ECO Proyect; our Goal: to live where almost nobody lives!... healthily and in freedom and peace with the nature :) but to do so, we need to produce something and give something to the world in exchange... thats why we are looking for your help! aside from improve our (or maybe your) language skills and share nice moments at the end of the world.. we want to clean and improve our plot to bring tourists in the future, produce our own food, build self-sustainable houses, and help the forest to grow healthy.
Área: Midi PyreneesWe are an English / Flemish family of street theatre performers. "We" are - myself Ben, Saskia, and our 6 year old daughter Dixie Lu. In October 2011 we moved from Antwerp in Belgium to a 5 hectare property 50km south of Toulouse where we now live. We're in the process of creating a (semi!) self sufficient permacultural community that will integrate a creation studio, a workshop, an amphitheatre etc with vegetable growing and some keeping of animals. The land is 4 hectare wild woodland and 1 hectare sloping prairie.
Área: Takeo ProvinceAs the result of the political and social events of its recent history, Cambodia’s social and ethical values of centuries were systematically destroyed, resulting in the majority of people living in poverty with very few opportunities to improve their situation. This is particularly evident in the rural areas of Cambodia. Youths, both boys and especially girls, often suffer from the effects of lack of education, low self esteem and self confidence which can often lead to alienation from families and social networks, crime, violence and perpetuation of the poverty cycle. The organization was founded in 2006, to provide low cost English language education program to poor rural youth, which is supplemented by programs focusing on motivation, self worth, self confidence and discipline. In the short term, this provides opportunities for youth to improve their own situation in life, and in the long term contributes to improve the human resources in Cambodia. The organization is a Khmer run NGO, registered with the Ministry of Interior . The organization aims to provide: A high level of English communication skills; Job preparation skills; Self-discipline and concentration; Increased belief in self, accompanied by reduced self-consciousness models; Improved inter-personal relationship skills, including inter-gender relationships; Emphasis on equality of treatment, opportunity and respect; Leadership skills; Responsibility; and Awareness of important social issues
