A refuge for orphaned or injured native animals near a National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is the ideal place for rehabilitated Kangaroos to be released back into the wild.
On our project these animals are fed and nurtured with great care and dedication.
The property is a private piece of Australian bushland, founded the by resident owner on her own initiative. The idea grew out of her love for Kangaroos and other native animals.
The property was purchased in 1995. It was a virgin block of native bushland, with no access road from the main highway. An eight kilometre long dirt road had to be established. we have single handedly carved from the bush a wonderful and peaceful way of life.
Hi I'm Petra born in Holland some 40 years ago. I've spent the last 10 years building and restoring the ruins and land I bought. Now we are 3 families(including 2 children,8 years old) living and working the land that needs some carefull human hand sometimes.. We are musicians and I am also artist in other ways, I'm working toward having workshops and courses to give oportunity to share this little nature paradise

The area we live in is a surfers paradise and is close to many local tourist towns that you could visit and explore. We have a house with 3 apartments that we are renting to tourists where there is always help needed. Caños de Meca is a little village at the Costa de la Luz, for anyyone who wants to relax and enjoy nature and the local Spanish culture. It would be great if you had some skills in gardenwork, maintenance, computer skills or artistic flair. We are happy to have couples.
