Freiwillige für Bau von Strohballenhaus gesucht - Canterbury, Neuseeland
Beschreibung
We're a family of 4 with a daughter (6) and a son (3), who are trying to establish a healthy organic lifestyle farm on 20 acres in North Canterbury. We need help year round with our vegetable garden. We intend to start building our house later this year.
We enjoy meeting people and learning from other cultures, are open-minded, friendly, and non-smokers.
We are located in North Canterbury, approximately 10 km from the village of Cust, 15 km from Oxford township, 20 km from Rangiora, 40 Km from Christchurch.
There are lots of things to do in the area including the Waimakariri River, Ashley Gorge, fishing, tramping, mountain biking, kayaking, golf and horseriding.

When you stay with Paul and Elizabeth, it's not just their family and extended family that welcome you into their house with open arms- it's the whole community around them. We had an outstanding experience, making so many new friends and exploring the beautiful local area in depth with Elizabeth as a tour guide. The children are a merit to their more
Kate & Jamie were a pleasure to have here! We would recommend them highly and would have them return anytime. They have a fabulous work ethic, show initiative, and do not require supervision. Before we knew it 2 weeks became 2 short months!
Our children were treated as if they were their own. Even now we still hear the kids say "I miss Kate & more

Aurelien and Renata were a huge disappointment to us. We definitely do not recommend them to other hosts. They lacked any work ethic, did not interact much with our family and spent most of their time sleeping or on the internet. They had agreed to work 2 weeks but after 3 days went to town for the night- And returned when they knew we were out more
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the farm only for a week (lack of time) and had a lovely experince there. Elizabet and Paul together with their two kids were icredibly welcoming, kind, outspoken and interesting people. besides that - they are also very flexible with work hours and thats always nice. we enjoyed spending time talking with them more
We spent our first experience (one week) of Workaway, in a joyful, welcoming and generous family. The outside work was very pleasant even more when Jasmin and Isaac were helping us ;). We've learnt a lot on the NZ's culture, the children's home education and also, we've appreciated to play the monopoly card game, even if Alex didn't win one time more
Guillaume & Alex were a pleasure to host. They were enthusiastic workers and great with the kids. We enjoyed our social evenings together also. We had a lot in common and got on really well. It was a shame they could only stay one week. The time flew by! We wish them well in their travels and look forward to seeing them again in the future. more
Paul and Elizabeth were lovely hosts and their children are adorable. We replanted lavender, chucked some hay and taught the kids about the solar system. It was grand! While our time was brief the memories will last a lifetime! Thanks so much for hosting us.
We enjoyed having Dwight & Jessica stay - brief though it was. They are willing workers and also entertained/educated our children wholeheartedly. We would welcome them back anytime.
Alina & Simon are very diligent & hardworking. They would be welcome to come back anytime. We enjoyed having them stay and hope they enjoy the rest of NZ.
