I'm English and my partner, David, is French. We live on a working dairy farm that has been in his family for 100 years....but cows have taken priority over DIY in the house!! His parents live next door and this is a sleepy village, no bar or local raves here (not that i know of anyway!) We have lived here together for the last year and there is still a huge amount of work to be done in the house and the garden, progress is slow, as I said, the cows come first. There is always someone coming or going. The farm is located in the centre of the village and during the summer there are several local French village fetes/BBq's etc etc. I myself come from a more London background but I now prefer this gentler way of life. I am looking for some one or a couple who can muck in and go with the flow of what ever needs doing around the house and garden. This is an old house that has been neglected and I am on as much of a learning curve as anybody!

I'm living in the german speaking part of Switzerland in Schiers. It is near Klosters and Davos, a well known part of Switzerland. Here a have a big wooden house with 8 rooms. At the moment - for about 2 months - 2 rooms with a separat bath room are free. Therefore I thought that one or two people could live here for this time and help me a little bit. About me - I'm Agnes, a 60 years old woman, open minded. Christina, 48 years, is living in the house as well and we have 3 cats and a little dog.

Hello, looking for someone who wants to live a few weeks / months / years with us. We have a small separate apartment for you and the chance to go to Marburg every morning. Marburg is a city with a beautiful mui largest university and many students and there coursos language. I (39) and son (6 years) live in an old mill with some animals (horses, dogs, cats, galinas, etc.). We would be happy to have help at home, outside in the garden or with animals. I have a large cortijo in the Andalusian countryside that I'd like to turn into a yoga/meditation centre among other things. I've had the house since 1974 and it was always used as a family holiday home but now my family are all grown up and the house doesn't get used as much as it deserves. There's 50,000m2 of land to tender and I'd very much like to create a herb garden and veggie patch so we can provide good, home grown food for guests. The house is 9km from the nearest town and is set adjacent to a natural park. The scenery is stunning and there are lots of great walks so would suit a real country lover. There is internet access via satellite but no TV (yet) just lots of books.

Our farm consists of 90 head of cattle - calving is getting close to completed. We have 7 riding horses and 2 ponies (both ponies are needing harness work). The rest of the barnyard population is made up of chickens, ducks, cats, 5 dogs, rabbits, lambs, peacocks and of course our llama Sparky and our two pot belly pigs, Wilbur and Louie. Our farm has been hosting visitors since 2004. We are a family of 4 (daughters ages - 16 and 13yrs) and we encourage our helpers to become a part of our everyday life.
