Do you love the outdoors and to ride horses, hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing, and seeing a plethora of wildlife from your bedroom window? Love kids? If so, we have a great opportunity for an outgoing and fun person to experience a large working ranch in the beautiful state of Montana. Hi, our names are Libby and Bryan. We raise grassfed beef in a very remote mountain valley of southwestern Montana...near Yellowstone National Park. The scenery is breathtaking and the activities and adventures are endless. Our 2000 some odd cattle are raised with love and dignity on 30,000 acres and our 30+ horses are managed in the same manner and are trained naturally. We also provide working ranch vacations to people from all over the world so you would meet folks from all walks of life. Our ranch has been written about in the New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes and a video was made by The Perennial Plate called. Our ranch borders Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in the pristine Centennial Valley...coined the most beautiful and remore wildlife refuge in the USA. Bryan and I are looking for some help around the house and with childcare for our 3 1/2 year old boy and 9 month old baby girl. We are seeking an outdoor minded volunteer with lots of energy and fun personality. The hours will vary depending on chores and various activities. Plenty of personal time will be alotted; horseback riding and other ranch activities are available if interested. A vehicle could also be provided for personal adventures.Area: Connacht
Has old-fashioned courtesy been consigned to the rubbish-dump? Any hope at all that workawayers could spare 30 seconds to reply to messages?! I need someone for May/June! I am an artist/writer/photographer living in a smallish bungalow situated 1 km. from a 13th century walled town with very narrow streets! Bhind my house is a 1-acre field with a stable where my Shetland pony, Flicka and my donkey, Kassie live – though they do visit me unexpectedly now and then! I have three cats, Lulu (aged 12) who spends a lot of her time in the stable, Kiwi (4) and Siog (Gaeilge for ‘fairy’), the baby, both of whom spend most of their time in the house with access to a walled courtyard for fresh air. My day is usually taken up with painting or designing in Photoshop, recording or mixing audio projects in my studio, writing my weekly columns for a local newspaper and a national magazine, taking and processing photographs and playing my beloved Takamine EN-40. I have lots of other instruments in my studio.Area: Burgenland
We are a family of mostly 4 (sometimes 5), 2 kids at school age. We live in a small farm village some 20 km from Lake Neusiedl in the east of Austria; about 45 km from Vienna with regular railway and bus connections. The area is soft and characterized by farm land, wine and a milder climate than in the rest of the country. We are convinced of a more balanced life and thus try to reduce waste, plastics etc. and grow our own vegetables, cook as much biological food as possible and more. We bought this old farm house with garden some 2 years ago and are still trying to bring it in full shape.Area: Andalucia
I have a large cortijo in the Andalusian countryside that I'd like to turn into a yoga/meditation centre among other things. I've had the house since 1974 and it was always used as a family holiday home but now my family are all grown up and the house doesn't get used as much as it deserves. There's 50,000m2 of land to tender and I'd very much like to create a herb garden and veggie patch so we can provide good, home grown food for guests. The house is 9km from the nearest town and is set adjacent to a natural park. The scenery is stunning and there are lots of great walks so would suit a real country lover. There is internet access via satellite but no TV (yet) just lots of books.Area: Andalucia
Our project is an open place for many different projects. It´s a very peaceful and laid back place where i personally find a lot of inspiration and freedom. Sometimes there are parties, yoga and meditation sessions, karate classes, art projects and photography trainings. You could join as well as an artist and/or run your own workshop out here... Finally all falls or grows with your opinions... ;)
