Please let us know at the top of your message your possible Arrival dates and skype/ tel. numbers :-) We are located in the gorgeous Los Caños de Meca, opposite Tangiers, Morocco, 5 to 10 min walk to beautiful beaches, at the foot of a natural park situated within organic natural gardens by Cape Trafalgar , Cadiz province, on the Costa de la Luz, Andalucia, Spain.

We rent out different kind of accommodation (including three totally thatched houses) for people on holidays, weekend breaks and longer stays also, and try to be as ecological as possible within certain limits. Sometimes we have more time to spend with volunteers than others.

We are not a farm and we do not live on the land.
Usually one of the volunteers cooks the meals on the land or in my house about 10 min. walk away.

Help required with:
Organic Gardening and Landscaping, making fences, Sun shades, paths, maintenance of land and various dwellings some of which are totally thatched. Occasional building, help with thatching the thatched houses, painting etc.

Particular skills sought:
Flexible people that are well organized, communicative, and happy to help us plan tasks and jobs to be done, cooking, organize tasks, working times, brain storming ideas.

Carpenters, builders, maintenance. People with experience with organic gardening, vegetable gardens, weeding, good eye for cleaning and organising land, eco building/ compost toilet building.

Well organised person to help declutter in general and computer decluttering. Computer work, File management, Web site writing and a good translator for text in English to Spanish and text in Spanish to English.

Looking after cats and our dog Mojo. People who love animals.

Looking for organically minded positive, responsable people, who also enjoy working independently without supervision. Preferably people who don´t drink regularly or take drugs and enjoy a tranquil natural living environment.

We are:
Karen (been here since 1987) born in Kortrijk, Belgium in 1963 (so speak Flemish/ Dutch and French) also English, German and Spanish, kzat Ivrit.. Çok as Türkçe... I lived in Belgium 13 years, 10 yrs in the UK including a couple of years as a student in Brockwood Park, Krishnamurti school, and since 1987 here in Los Caños de Meca. I am a Facilitator for The Work of Byron Katie, and presently studying to be a certified facilitator. Am very happy when I have time to exchange facilitations and do the Work :-)

Juani also part of the team is from Vejer & has worked here with us since 6 years now. Speaks fluent Spanish and speaks English. Oliva has been working with us on and off for the last 18 years, now has been back over three years. Pepi from San Ambrosio behind the Natural Park has been here for a few years.

We have many cats and a 13 year old doggy called Mojo, and a horse, Topaz in the natural park.

Caños de Meca in low season is a very tranquil place with very few people and a few sleepy bars and shops. Cafés spring into life in the high season and it becomes quite the party town.

Buses
From Cadiz, there are a couple of buses to Los Caños de Meca Monday to Friday off season, every day in high season.

From Algeciras, buses to La Barca de Vejer, about 15 min drive from Caños de Meca.

Trains to Cadiz and San Fernando (Bahia Sur)
From Granada lovely train journey to Algeciras, and then bus to La Barca de Vejer.

Airports
Jerez, about 1 hour away.
Gibraltar about and hour and a quarter away.
Sevilla 1 and a half to two hours away.
Malaga 2 and a half hours away (about 4 hours by bus)
