General help always needed in a lovely area of Spain
Area: Pontevedra Galicia
Hi I'm Petra born in Holland some 40 years ago. I've spent the last 10 years building and restoring the ruins and land I bought. Now we are 3 families(including 2 children,8 years old) living and working the land that needs some carefull human hand sometimes.. We are musicians and I am also artist in other ways, I'm working toward having workshops and courses to give oportunity to share this little nature paradiseArea: Tuscany
I am an English sculptress looking to start a gallery with other artists out here. I need duplicates of my work. I live in a big, restored, stone villa in Tuscany, part of which is used for summer rental, and look after my very elderly mother. This is a beautiful, rural area which offers escape from the pressures of modern life. It is central and well-placed for trips to famous historic centres, but use of public transport is risky. You need to have special skills or be Italian to master the bus timetable. Apart from a sculpture technician it is a good workaway situation for retired couples or a self -sufficient, handy man -type person from Europe, travelling by car. It is really not a comfortable place for student backpackers. The restoration of the farm buildings and the making of a garden on a steep slope, has been a 20 yr project, so , while there is still work to do, the maintenance is piling up. During the winter months it is good to have helpful friends around with plenty of interests and skills to share. A retired architect couple stayed here from Jan to June 2009 and we had a great exchange. They liked the area so much that they are now working to move here so are unavailable for 2010.Area: Coromandel Peninsula
We own a comfortable farmstay set on six acres of peaceful pasture a few minutes drive from Coromandel township. The Coromandel Peninsula is renowned for its scenic coastal route, magnificent beaches, bush walks, art trails and historic gold-mining sites.Area: central
We are Gijs, Linda and Carlos, and run Camping Redondo where you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of running a small rural camping , located 9 kms from the historic city of Tomar and one hour.s drive from Lisbon. Here we attract a very international selection of chalet, caravan and tent guests who you will be able to assist with registrations and payments in addition to offering local tourist information and advice. In the mornings we need assistance with feeding and walking the animals, cleaning duties around the camping, laundry and chalet preparation. Occasionally there will also be maintenance or gardening chores to be undertaken. In the late afternoons the children like to walk with the animals or help with their feeding. In the evenings our guests enjoy to chat over a drink at the bar-terrace and on certain evenings we offer Camp Dinners to bring everyone together which you will be able to help prepare and serve.
