Arbeiten an einem Seeufer in einer Farm, Portugal
Region: Montana
Do you love the outdoors and to ride horses, hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing, and seeing a plethora of wildlife from your bedroom window? Love kids? If so, we have a great opportunity for an outgoing and fun person to experience a large working ranch in the beautiful state of Montana. Hi, our names are Libby and Bryan. We raise grassfed beef in a very remote mountain valley of southwestern Montana...near Yellowstone National Park. The scenery is breathtaking and the activities and adventures are endless. Our 2000 some odd cattle are raised with love and dignity on 30,000 acres and our 30+ horses are managed in the same manner and are trained naturally. We also provide working ranch vacations to people from all over the world so you would meet folks from all walks of life. Our ranch has been written about in the New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes and a video was made by The Perennial Plate called. Our ranch borders Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in the pristine Centennial Valley...coined the most beautiful and remore wildlife refuge in the USA. Bryan and I are looking for some help around the house and with childcare for our 3 1/2 year old boy and 9 month old baby girl. We are seeking an outdoor minded volunteer with lots of energy and fun personality. The hours will vary depending on chores and various activities. Plenty of personal time will be alotted; horseback riding and other ranch activities are available if interested. A vehicle could also be provided for personal adventures.Region: Algarve
We are a young couple doing up a traditional Portuguese house and working on a large veggie garden. We would love some help with the garden and with flower beds and the renovations to the house.Region: Wales
We are a 10 acre smallholding in mid Wales. Two homes -myself Jules and husband Nick in one, and my daughter Rebbecca, and son in law Woef in the other. It`s a beautiful place - woods and fields full of wild flowers, a ceramic studio (available to those interested) a polytunnel with veg, gardens and a tree nursery (see website ). There are always lots of renovations to do, new plans and ideas, good conversation and laughter. We cook great food (one house vegetarian) and brew wonderful beer, so lots to do if it`s raining. We have no livestock at the moment, only 4 wonderful dogs - and a frisbee.Region: Midi Pyrenees
My husband and I are moving to a wonderful old farm in the South of France within the next few weeks. I am 43 and he’s 48 years old and we have 5 children (21, 21, 19, 17 & 11), 1 cat and are planning to buy 2 dogs very soon. My husband is Belgian and loves to cook, and I am English and work for a non-profit AIDS organisation. My 11 year old vegetarian German/English daughter lives with us, the rest of the kids come for visits. The farm is in a beautiful rural area between Toulouse and the Pyrenees, very close to Boulogne sur Gesse. For your free time we have an above ground pool, table tennis, table football, Wii, king size trampoline, dvds and cds, books and magazines, badminton, wireless internet etc. Within walking distance there is a public outdoor pool, boating lake with fishing, shops and a weekly market. The gorgeous city of Toulouse is just one hour away in one direction and the mountains just one hour south!! Nearest airports are Toulouse-Blagnac, Pau-Pyrenees and Tarbes –Lourdes.Region: North Calais
I'm English and my partner, David, is French. We live on a working dairy farm that has been in his family for 100 years....but cows have taken priority over DIY in the house!! His parents live next door and this is a sleepy village, no bar or local raves here (not that i know of anyway!) We have lived here together for the last year and there is still a huge amount of work to be done in the house and the garden, progress is slow, as I said, the cows come first. There is always someone coming or going. The farm is located in the centre of the village and during the summer there are several local French village fetes/BBq's etc etc. I myself come from a more London background but I now prefer this gentler way of life. I am looking for some one or a couple who can muck in and go with the flow of what ever needs doing around the house and garden. This is an old house that has been neglected and I am on as much of a learning curve as anybody!
