Janice is great!. We miss here already. She was a lot of help, and good company to have around. It was a short visit unfortunately, but she's always welcome back. Safe travels my friend, JP.

Freya was an absolute delight to host. She took excellent care of our animals, showing great responsibility and compassion. Her gardening skills are impressive, and she managed all household chores efficiently and with a positive attitude. Freya is a very caring, kind, and cheerful person. Her presence is truly enjoyable, and I thoroughly enjoyed both working with her and spending time together exploring Rome. I had a wonderful experience with Freya and highly recommend her to any future hosts.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jakes place. He is a very hardworking and passionate person who loves to involve others in his ideas and discuss different topics. He shared many information about korean culture with us and truly was a great host to live with. The location is amazing for exploring all the gems of Seoul and very convenient to travel around. The work is very easy and, if you don't have a problem hanging out with new friendly people, the perfect place for you. You'll talk to locals and other foreigners in a comfortable environment with a chance to hang out or partying after, go on hikes, do karaoke, eat fried chicken at hanriver and so on...I will always remember my first ever Korea experience and will keep my coworkers and Jake close to heart!

Rarely do we find a volunteer who is super helpful, cheerful, efficient, open minded, punctual, responsible, caring, considerate and fun to be around. Jordi is all of this, and more. He became like a son to us. He’s extremely clever and good at problem solving and building things. He easily constructed a fence out of scrap materials that worked well to keep our dogs from running into the neighbor’s yard. Our dogs loved him. He helped us install an inverter in our van. He did yard work, helped clean out the garage, and moved heavy things from place to place. Practicing Spanish with him was really fun, and helping him improve his English was even more fun. He’s a good sport and got along well with the other volunteers. He enjoyed all kinds of food and is not a fussy eater. He left his room neat and clean. If you get a chance to host him, you would be lucky. Hope to see you in the future, Buttercup!

I had the most marvelous 3 weeks staying with Therese and Rich on their beautiful farm. I don’t know where to start so I dive right in. First, Therese and Rich are wonderful people. Rich has the best sense of humor, the best sense of movies and loves his farm and especially the alpacas and dogs. They have the cutest and most lively dogs and I bonded with each one of ‘em deeply. Therese is a very caring mom and treated me like her own son. Also creates magic with her therapy bowls. Her homemade bread is to die for!! She also is in love with her Garden which leads me to the work I’ve done in the 3 weeks I was there. We fully started the vegetable and fruit garden. I weeded and tilled the ground, laid fabric to walk on, planted plants, put in a fence to keep away the bunny’s, watered the plants, saw them growing, laid straw to keep the weeds away, mulched certain areas, used the blower to clean the front porch and played, fed and took care of the dogs. Their house and property is massive so there is always something to do. Bringing food to the chickens and taking the eggs, feeding the alpacas and sheep’s, taking the 4x4’s for a drive over the land, go mushroom hunting, finding all sorts of animals and so on and on. The list is endless. I really enjoyed the time for myself that they gave me a lot of as well. Work and time Off was super balanced. I usually had the whole lower level for myself. Accept on days when they had friends or family over. Which leads me to my next point. Meeting Therese and Rich’s Family meant a lot to me. They have 4 wonderful children and especially with Dan I had a great time! Going out on Kayak trips, Going to a football game or just driving to St. Louis was super fun. Therese and Rich showed me many places in Missouri. From Caves, to trails, to Restaurants, stores and cafes. Malones was my fav.!! They have wonderful friends too who were always super welcoming and interested, especially Kerry and Sean (Wonderful people). We celebrated my birthday together, we had long nights watching movies, playing cards, having good drinks and good food (I also cooked them German dishes) and I am beyond thankful how they made me a part of their life. This is more than a Workaway stay, I became a part of the family so I decided to come back for another 3 months! I guess that shows how much this is a must stay for every Workawayer and I highly recommend Rich, Therese and all their animals to every workawayer. Thanks so much again!

What a pleasure hosting couples like Viki and Franz while preparing our glamping for the season and building our new object (carpentry, stones, dirt)! They are definitely adaptable and fast learning people with a talent to imporovisation. Both of them have their own passions and unique strengths. Viki in her own peace, with knowledge, a muscle's and inner strength, + stubborness can built a steps without being guided (hard physical job). One of the strongest woman we have met and hosted! Franz is very ambitious man, goal minded. Always kind and very helpful. Some of the most annoying jobs like painting a ceiling or digging deep holes have been done together with nice company, conversations, Niksicko and laugh! Overall - Viki and Franz were great company no matter the task, and by the end of two months with us it was like saying goodbye to good friends! Guys - follow your desires, travel safe, keep in touch! :*

Definitely one of my favorite stays in my 11 months of Canada. Kathrin and Adam with their kids are not only one of the most wholesome families I've ever met, but they have a huge heart for everyone around them! After my 2 weeks stay I already felt like their family member, absolutely loved it! Their house is magical and will make you feel like a forest witch! The work feels more like occupational therapy and there's any kind of work, depending on how strong you are and what your abilities are, you can also always try new things! It's nice how their house comes full circle, the stove runs on fire of wood and their toilets work with sawdust, solar panels give electricity which is not only very environmentally friendly but also makes it even more of an adventure. I stayed in the little cabin, the former playhouse, and had the best time. If you're looking for a quiet place to find some inner peace and rest, I highly recommend this. You should let Kathrin know your height for that you get a fitting bed, the cabin's bed maximum height is about 1.7m or 5"7, if you're taller there are also different bedrooms like in the barn. There is enough room for parks and RVs, their property is huge! You should be aware that the next town is 30mins away and there is no public transport, although Kathrin and Adam will be happy to take you as a guest to town or their karate lessons etc. Or let you drive their cars, a drivers license is of advantage, even better if you have a car, otherwise the only thing to do in the area is to walk fields (which is still nice but if you stay longer maybe a bit boring) I would love to come back and stay again if the opportunity comes up, this place will grow on you and keeps a special place of your heart. Thank you guys so much for everything!

How can I describe this incredible experience without writing a novel? Firstly, Ellen and Remco welcomed me into their home and daily life with a hospitality I had rarely experienced. I quickly felt at ease and integrated. Remco spent his time introducing me to new knowledge every day. He was very patient and educational. I have rarely met anyone as kind as Ellen. She will always have a kind word or thoughtfulness for you and others. Also, every evening she was preparing a delicious meal cooked with love :) Of course, my comment wouldn't be complete without mentioning the two adorable border colies who punctuated the days and made my stay even more sparkling!

Although I only was two weeks with them, it was a great experience! My tasks were so light: somedays picking up or bringing the kids to school or other extracurricular activities, playing with them some afternoons, etc. The parents are so nice and showed me some typical dishes and places. The kids are full of energy, really easy going and creative. The house is big and beautiful, with views of the river. I will recommend this experience to everybody who wants to stay with a nice family near an amazing city as is Verona!

Sabrina stayed together with her friend Michele for 4 weeks in May at our places, helping us a few days at our family house in Sollentuna and the rest of the time they started up our holiday house for the season on the island Rindö. Where do I begin? They are simply fantastic - I can only congratulate anyone who invites these wonderful ladies. Not only are they extremely creative, diligent, hardworking, intelligent, and independent, but you also get good company with them, as they are two extraordinary ladies - we called them "supergirls". From hard garden work, sorting things out, cleaning, sewing difficult items, creating creative decoration, painting, and they even made our boat ready for the season - they did it all - and that with a very positive attitude! This is workaway at its BEST. Michele even fixed our robotic lawnmower (she is a real problem solver) and Sabrina treated us to high-quality Italian cuisine. In short, it doesn’t get any better than this! Their work and their company are priceless. They made so much happen and we had a great time with them with lots of good talks and laughter. We wish them both the best. Michele and Sabrina, I hope you will come to visit us again; you are welcome anytime. We miss you already!

This is an incredible place on Workaway, and I spent two unforgettable weeks there. Kak Noriah, her son Mohammed, and everyone working at the camp are wonderful people who were incredibly helpful in every way. The camp is truly beautiful, featuring various areas such as a restaurant, a hall, an aquaponics system, a reading area, kayaks, and more. The work was very manageable, giving me plenty of free time to explore and enjoy the surroundings. Kak Noriah is a fantastic host who ensured I had an authentic cultural exchange. She invited me to her friends' homes and open houses, allowing me to experience local life and especially Raya in Kelantan. She took me to numerous restaurants to try local foods, and when she was traveling, her son Mohammed and his wife Huda treated me like family, taking me to many places. I highly recommend this place and wish I can visit it again one day.

I loved volunteering here! Would definitely stay longer if I had the time. Work was as advertised, helping check guests in, some admin and light cleaning. Wilson is a wonderful host and there is so much to do in La Fortuna. One of my favourite workaways for sure!

David was helping us for almost 4 months. 4 amazing months! He arrived right in the middle of the high season so there was no slowly settling in period but he jumped in right in the middle of the action. I remember we had visitors right in the next morning, so straight to a hike with the kids on the first day followed by a fully working with the dogs the next morning, straight to long working days with the kids all around. It was also the darkest time of the year. But he managed super good. Apart from the dogs it was very important for us that the person joining us gets along with kids and copes with their active ever lasting energy. It was good to see that already in the first evening David had a good vibe with the kids with who he enjoyed spending time every day. They spent some great time (going hiking to fishing to building a shelter to sledding and doing bonfire etc) and overall there was a very good connection between him and the kids. What of course took the most of the time of the day were the dogs. He settled in and got the daily routines super fast. Depending on a day the daily routines for the dogs included cleaning after the dogs, feeding them, training with the sled incl. harnessing, taking the puppies to a forest run, cleaning the doghouses and adding more straw, first collar training the puppies and later was added a trailer and harness training. Also building/fixing a dog yard, walking the dogs and of course petting and cuddling. With all of the above David managed incredibly well and not only he even took the dogs to the valley in his days off. It was super nice to see that he really enjoyed everything he had to do and in here it was a lot going on. I also have to mention that he made a record and managed to run/walk all the dogs one by one within one day! If needed he also helped with cooking and babysitting. He has a nice ability to read the people and to communicate well even with the strangers whether it was our visitor or a kids teacher from the school. As we have a lot going on and it's a lot both mentally and physically, David always managed to stay calm and grounded. He knows how to take care of himself, how to load his batteries and how to fully enjoy every day. He does take a the responsibility - both, physically when taking his own dogteam out for training or puppies for a run in the valley as well as mentally - he perfectly knows how to live his life to the fullest and how to enjoy every little moment! We are forever thankful for the time spent in here, for all the memories (luckily we have many pictures and videos) and sauna evenings, for all the laughter and moments, for teaching and respecting the kids and the dogs (and the cats!). Wishing you the best of luck in your journey and if you have a moment you know you are always welcome back! See you later Mr. Dr. D! Hugs, Johanna, Rain and the kids!
