Sandra has been a really nice host ! She was very clear about her project and we could have a lot of visible work done which was a great reward after the 2 weeks I stayed there for. Vancouver Island is such a special place, I am very happy I could help about the nature over there. I had the chance to discover the area, Sandra lent me a bike and a kayak that I could use straight in front of the house. I got to meet her family and we even went on a small Van trip on the neighboring islands. The house is peaceful and very spacious and the garden very beautiful ! The place is easy to reach by bus and the communication with Sandra is perfect. I can only recommend it ! We have been working together on the restoration of her waterfront. I had a fantastic experience at Thalie and Marc's Place. They have a beautiful house surrounded by nature Thalie and Marc made me feel welcome when I arrived, instantly making me feel at home. They kindly took the time to show me around the island, highlighting all the best spots. The work involved painting and maintenance around their lovely home. I was always looking forward to coming back in the evening for dinner as they are both amazing chefs. I am looking forward to come back

Clément and Marine is good couple. They stay 2 weeks here. They doing chopping firewood. The job was done very neatly. They ever day off go somewhere to sightseeing. Very enjoy to Japan.

Having Alexandre here with us was a huge pleasure! He is such a highly motivated guy, always smiling and really wants to help! All interaction with him was very easygoing - thank you very much for the energy, you put in our project. The only regret we have is, that you did not stay longer, feel free to come back anytime, you have friends now on the Island !

Anika is an outstanding workawayer who helped us for two weeks with weeding, gardening, and several art projects. She is down to earth, easy to talk to, and incredibly creative. She entertained us by the fire with her good sense of humor and beautiful songs she wrote herself. Anika went above and beyond, working tirelessly in the hot sun and enduring mosquito bites. Her dedication, talent, respect, cleanliness and positive attitude made a significant impact on our projects, and we highly recommend her to any future hosts. Anika will always be welcomed back like family. Thank you, Anika!

I had such a lovely time with Sylvian, Marta and Alois! It was completely out of the blue and last minute that I went to stay with them, but I'm so happy that I did! They are wonderful people with a magical home. My tasks were mainly to take care of Alois, which never really felt like a task because she's so nice to be around. I quickly came to adore her. She's a cool lil chica and a great Spanish teacher too :D The food is also really fresh and delicious, you have your own house with a kitchen if you want to make your own, but I never did because theirs was always so tasty hehe :) The area is Soooooo beautiful too and with lots of hiking routes to explore. Gara is always up for showing you around! All in all, I would highly recommend the experience of staying with these guys. It's a very special place. It was my first workaway and it was wonderful. Elizabeth is really welcoming and friendly. Despite the language barrier, we had great conversation. It was so interesting and pleasant to see her habits and how she manages her lovely dogs. Greatfull expérience !

I had an amazing time with Lora and Clark here! I arrived with food poisoning, and from the start, Lora was attentive and provided everything I needed to make a swift recovery. Once I started work, Lora set out clear and organized goals and expectations. The tasks were rigorous and purposeful, and were always balanced with time to relax and explore the surrounding attractions. From trips to Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock to tours of Austin and a dip in Blue Hole, Lora and Clark went out of their way to create a full and memorable experience for myself and the other helpers. Lora and Clark's genuine and altruistic characters are exemplified in the space they have cultivated, their generous receipt of various helpers, and, perhaps most of all, in the care and tenderness put towards their animals. Rarely have I seen happier and more content animals thanks to Lora's nurturing attentiveness. Lora and Clark's home was a safe space where different ideas could be debated and floated, and where there was always good nutritious food to sustain us, sometimes direct from the garden. No detail was overlooked, and I am forever grateful that this was my first experience of Texas and that I lucked out in having such amazing hosts! My time in Wimberley will always stand out as one of my best experiences helping out, and I would definitely come back.

Que dire à part que je n’aurais pas pu rêver mieux comme première expérience workaway. Michèle et Kevin sont des gens formidables, qui élèvent deux adorables petits garçons. Ils vous feront voyager à travers leurs anecdotes et leurs projets. Vous ne vous sentirez jamais mis à l'écart. Vous allez rencontrer beaucoup de personnes au grand cœur qui vous ouvriront leur porte avec grand plaisir. Je suis extrêmement reconnaissante d’avoir partagé ces trois semaines avec vous. J'ai beaucoup appris, alors merci pour l’expérience, pour votre générosité et surtout pour l’amour. Si vous aimez les animaux, la nature, les gens et si vous êtes volontaires, vous êtes au bon endroit!! Une chose est sûre, je reviendrai avec plaisir!!

Living in the high jungle with Frank and his dog Brillo was like stepping into a magical world with two kind and generous creatures. As you may expect, the nature there is incredible, never quiet, and everyday you will be struck by such raw beauty and unique fauna and flora. The everyday tasks is the basic; collecting wood, cooking on the fire, bringing water from the river, watering the plants. But you will also have the opportunity to help frank in his project managing his new ´sintropic garden´, building bamboo furnitures, organizing the place or simply sharing your ideas. In this little gem hiding in the mountainous jungle, there is always room for discussion, long talks under the stars and pizza night ! I stayed 3 weeks and I highly recommend you to stay minimum the same amount, as you will regret missing out on this experience, believe me. Thank you, Frank, for making me feel so welcomed and for including me in your beautiful project. It truly inspired me and make me grow, especially the nights under the moonlight! I wish you a lot of support and new friends to make your sustainable dream finally come true. Hasta luego,amigo ! A bientot, mon ami !

I spent three weeks with Valentina, Gabi and Rufina and enjoyed every minute of it. The hostel is a vivid and at the same time chilled place, I felt right at home. I was there in March during low season so the hostel wasn't too busy. The tasks were simple and easy to do and there was always enough time to explore the area (the city, the beaches, surfing, Punta de Lobos, watch the beautiful sunsets,...). The whole place and the city too has a very relaxed atmosphere and I felt safe throughout my stay. When I left, it felt like leaving home. Thanks again for the great time and practicing spanish with me :D Muchas gracias por todo! :)

It was so amazing 3 weeks what we spent together with Mireille and Ernest! Both of them a very kind and funny people and super company. We talked and laughed a lot, never ran out of topics! 🥰 Their home is beautiful and cozy and the dogs Stacie and Basil are adorable, just like their cat, Harry who was always in a hurry 😂 We helped them in the vegetable garden and did some DIY tasks, like painting walls and window frames, building a raised bed etc. On rainy days we could work indoor, and we appreciated it so much. We always did groceries together and Mireille also took us to local markets where we could experience the real mood of Normandy ☺️ Ernest is a master in the kitchen, his cooking and baking knowledge is marvelous 🤤 We will never forget these weeks and we are grateful for everything. We hope we’ll meet them again one day🤗

Dirk stayed at hour place for a month. He's a really nice and a kind person. He helped us with åutting up fences for the sheep/horses.. And eaven if the work was fysical hard, he did not complain, and was allways positive.. From the beginning he took the morning routine with feeding the animals, and checking in with the sheep if lambs was on their way.. Really enjoyed having him stay here.. Good humor, and a all throu good person.. Wish him ll the best to come..

Shannon is not only a hard worker but also brings an incredible amount of positive energy to the team. Her dynamic and cheerful personality brightens up the place, making her a joy to be around. Shannon’s dedication and enthusiasm are truly inspiring. Her ability to stay motivated and keep others motivated is remarkable. Additionally, we have become friends, which speaks volumes about her approachable and friendly nature. She is always ready to lend a helping hand. We highly recommend Shannon for any team. We'd love to have her around again and again

I stayed here for two weeks and it was a great experience! Carole is such an inspiring marketeer that pushes for a better agriculture model through hard-work, sustainable techniques and great doses of openness and communication. I really enjoyed the work on the farm as tasks were varied and previously planned, and the work schedule was balanced. As for the accomodation, the food and the company, I felt at home in my little caravan (there are several caravans and a flat for the volunteers) while connected with other volunteers from around the globe. Also, the sorroundings are really beautiful if you like the countryside, and there are nice trips to a nearby lake, bike trips or even a visit to beautiful Strasbourg! Absolutely I'd recommend staying here! Saludos! Enrique.

Aina is a really nice person, in a one day she find the way for live like us, sharing the home style (cooking, cleaning, prepare the table, cleaning dishes.....) so finally she make easy the live at home. She is sweet, happy, really beautiful heart, have a nice conversation and always have a smile. She can understand all the situations with a people, and she try to know the people with different styles and find the way for understand them. The level of English is really good and she like hiking, sport, nature, animals, travelling, she enjoy with this! Also openmind and adaptable with everything. She travel with Kiwa, is a small dog really intelligent, and Aina always like to take care for kiwa make good the things and don't disturb other animals. So finally was a pleasure had Aina at home. Our stay was definitely too short, but we enjoyed every minute, except the bad weather, which off course Willi & Majran couldn’t influence. We were fed extremely well, and invited to join them a couple of times with English and French speaking friends at the Table. we felt as if we had become part of the family, in a very short space of time, enjoying common interests , and learning about new things, most certainly a win win situation for us. They live in beautiful countryside, which invites for long walks. Thankyou, both of you, we hope to meet you again.

Fue una experiencia genial quedarnos en la casa de Gerardo por 3 semanas. Teníamos el suerte de participar en uno de los eventos que organiza, una noche comunal y hermosa y llena de cultura. Nos enseñó mucho de Argentina, y encontramos que todo lo que hace es fiel a su filosofía, desde la participación de la comunidad en la construcción de la casa, hasta como toca música folclórica local con sus amigos. Le ayudamos con el techo de adobe y las preparaciones para el encuentro. Decidimos con Gerardo antes que el intercambio no incluye comida, así que la trabajo era tranqui y también divertido hacerlo con sus amigos tan amables! Teníamos una cama muy cómodo y cuarto grande y rústico, la cocina básica afuera con nevera. Cocimos con fuego también en la parrilla y el horno chileno. El paisaje es hermoso, y el pueblo y toda la gente tan acogedora, si tocas un instrument aún mejor. Muchas gracias!!

Sofia hat uns für 4,5 Monate unterstützt und ist ein Teil unserer Familie geworden. Sie war sehr fleißig und man konnte mit ihr sehr viel Spaß haben. Sie hat all unsere Aufgaben zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit erfüllt. Wir wünschen ihr auf ihren nächsten Abenteuer alles alles gut. Vielen lieben Dank das du bei uns warst und uns unterstützt hast.
