    Description

We are a German family living in Rastede near Oldenburg.
Gerhard (48) is an online journalist and Maren (37) is a language teacher and translator. Our son Levi was born in November 2022.
We both work from home (Maren currently isn't working)
We have 2 dogs and 1 cat.

We are looking for a kind person to mainly help with our son. Just entertaining him a few hours a day or take him for a walk etc.
Since Levi is speaking a lot now we prefer people with at least some German at the moment 🙂
Or spanish speakers are also very welcome,so he can get used to the language (also it's always nice for us to improve our Spanish - maybe if you are good at teaching I'm even interested in a few lessons) as we live part of the year in Spain and he will start nursery there in November.
Also a little help around the house like vacuuming.
Some spring cleaning and tasks and sorting out stuff that we never get around to doing.
There is also some gardening to be done if you like or if you are good at fixing things there are always some things that need improving.
Of course you must be an animal lover and it would be great if we could go away for a long weekend or even a week while you look after our animals once they know you.

Also we would love to have someone who likes to cook🙂 We like cooking too,but always tend to eat the same things.
So would really love to take turns at cooking

We invite you to practice your German with us if you are not a native speaker.

We have been travelling a lot around the world ourselves, Maren has also been a volunteer, and we are looking to host likeminded people.
We love travelling, meeting other people from other cultures.
We are looking for mature (mentality, not necessarily age) and independent people who don't need our care and entertainment 24/7. We love the company, cooking together, eating together etc, but we also like our privacy (especially in the evening when we like to retreat after Levi has gone to bed).
Also Maren has chronic migraine,so sometimes just needs some quiet time (the main reason why we need some help with Levi).

We can only host a single volunteer at the moment.

Ideally we're looking for someone who can stay between 2 weeks and 2 months.
