Description
Hello! My name is Allison and I'm from the U.S., but I currently reside in the Kakheti region of Georgia (next to Lagodekhi National Park) with my three rescue dogs. My house is a typical village house, with stunning views, lots of land, fruit and nut trees, and even a small babbling creek. My dogs are L.B. (Little Bit) who is about 1.5, Baloo who is 2, and Rizzo who is 11. The neighbors surrounding me are curious and often helpful. Horses and cattle roam the streets. This is an idyllic place to relax, go hiking at the nearby national park to beautiful waterfalls, enjoy fresh food and gorgeous nature while getting a taste of true Kakhetian culture. The neighboring town (Lagodekhi, pop. ~5000) is only about 15 minutes walk. There is a small hospital, small grocery stores, local markets, pharmacies, salons, and a handful of restaurants... Everything you need (but still with simple village flair)! You get the best of both worlds here: a quiet, peaceful life and nearby access to more modern amenities!

By coming to Shroma, you will enjoy an immersive cultural experience in Georgia while being surrounded by gorgeous nature with lots of hills, forest, rivers and streams. There is a lot of wildlife and it's a great opportunity to slow down, talk with neighbors, and learn about Georgian culture. And perfect for people who love dogs, of course!
Help
I'm looking for help taking care of my dogs while I travel and while I'm home for some company and to share this beautiful place!
My oldest dog, Rizzo, is pretty self-sufficient and well-behaved. She only needs love, cuddles, and food & water. She will give you the biggest smile if you take her hiking with you!
L.B. and Baloo are very excitable, larger breeds but still very loving!
This job is ideal for two people, as they must be walked separately. They are not aggressive, I have just admittedly done a mediocre job of training them. They mainly stay in the yard (or house) except for their walks and also need some love and necessities to live.
In general, I ask whoever comes to clean up after themselves, wash the dogs once a week or if they get really dirty somehow, wash used linens and towels, etc. Basically, just keep the house in good condition.
The ideal candidate(s) are REALLY experienced with dogs, truly enjoy them, and will love a peaceful experience with lots of nature and hiking.
If I am home, we can share meals and I can take you on trails and to the best local spots! I work 9.00-17.00 online, so would love extra time in the mornings and evenings if you can help me walk and play with the doggos!Languages

I am a native English speaker from the U.S., but I studied French and Russian for several years. I would love to practice those languages, or even some new ones such as Spanish, Georgian, Greek, or Italian!Accommodation
Full house, there are three beds and two rooms. If I'm not here, you will have the space to yourself completely. I have a double bed (which I sleep in when here), and two twin beds. There is a desk and a dining table I use as a desk, a small open kitchen, indoor shower with hot water, an indoor toilet and washing machine, and a central living space as well. LB and Baloo sleep in their crates inside (or with you if you want!), and Rizzo sleeps where she wants (she's a great cuddle buddy!). I will provide a stipend for food if I am not here, based on my own food expenses, so you can buy what you like, or we can come to another arrangement. If I am here, we can share most meals except I don't usually buy meat and eat pretty basic fare (although I love cooking!).
What else ...
Hiking, waterfalls, markets, local georgian food... it's all here. there are marshrutkas (small buses) for transport and inexpensive local taxis everywhere. You can also easily walk into town. I live a slow, intentional life here, close to nature.
