Hello!

My name is Erki. I started Workawaying a couple of years ago and found a way of life (or perhaps myself) in here that keeps calling me back after a year on different roads.

I am drawn to living a simple life in a community and in harmony with nature. I want to feel the smell of the land, the warmth of the sun and the happiness of beings every day. I have felt connection, joy and ease in a very meaningful way, living like this, Workawaying around. It is a way of life that feels peaceful and natural to me, connected with my soul.

I want to be in environments where we can be stewards for the land and its beings, allowing everything and everyone to bloom in their own way. To work from a place of love we have for ourselves and each other.

I hope to bring and feel this spirit in all the new homes I find on my way. To encourage and be encouraged, to enchant and be enchanted and to see and be seen.

Quais são suas habilidades?

My Workaway experiences from last years have been working in a hostel reception, a community retreat project and a couple of beautiful stays working in permaculture farms in Portugal and Australia. All together I’ve Workawayed for around 10 months.

I have experience with many different fields of permaculture such as reforestation, water management, gardening, plant nurseries and probably more - permaculture Workaways are so diverse in nature! I mostly enjoy getting together with the earth or plant kingdom.

Most of my work experience comes from restaurants and bars. I’ve done everything in there, from waiter to chef to bartender to manager. For me, it’s like s school of life, giving me a vast array of skills in everyday life.

I am also very interested in humans and what makes us tick, how our emotions and spirit influences our life and how to live a meaningful, sincere life, while staying true to yourself.

I really enjoy having deep conversations with people and understanding each other. The connection we have with each other and all beings is the essence of life for me.

And I love good coffee in a bit of a spiritual way.
