Hey!

I'm Veronika, but you can call me Veru – a 22-year-old enthusiast living life to the fullest alongside my partner Miloslav (Mila). This year, we decided to break free from the conventional grind of college and jobs because, let's be honest, we lost all motivation. Instead, we're on a mission to explore the world, meet new people, and that's why we're diving into the world of "workaway."

I hail from a small village in the Czech Republic, a mere 1.5 hours from the bustling Prague. It's a tight-knit community of about 40 people, where everyone feels like one big family. Mila, on the other hand, comes from a larger town in the north of the Czech Republic but he loves to spend time in "my place". :)

When we're not on the move, you'll find us soaking up the wonders of nature. Together, we relish hiking, climbing, camping,...
We're hardcore minimalists, both in lifestyle and travel. Our journeys are defined by nothing more than backpacks and smiles!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I (Veru) was working as a barista for 2 years and I totally loved this jobbut it started to felt like a stereotype for me so I decided that it´s time to change - time to quit...
I also worked as a babysitter which was my "summer job", I was taking care of 1,5 year old boy, It was such a fun! About a year later, my niece was born and I was taking care of her every time I could (she´s almost 3 y.o. now)!
I just like to take care of children and of animals too! We used to have goats and sheeps when I was younger, now we have 1 dog and 20 hens :-)
I also love to cook and I am learning to bake.
I feel like I need some big change in my life, leave my native land and so does Mila...

I (Mila) have been an enthusiastic athlete since childhood. I have been playing ice-hockey since I was 3 years old. My biggest dream was to be a professional ice-hoceky player but this dream changed and now I play it just for fun with my friends. :-)
I am an adventurer, I´m not afraid to try new things and I also love nature, hiking...
I have 3 nephews which I take care of quite often - especially the oldest one (7 y.o.). It is fun to come up with activities for them!
I often help my mother in the garden - mowing the grass, taking care of trees, plants, doing small house repairs, chopping wood...

Now a little bit about our relationship...
Our journey began when I was 16, and Mila was 17.
Fast forward to now - we're both 22 and still deeply in love together with collection of many memories. :)

Here's the fascinating twist – we're both incredibly different and eerily alike at the same time! It's a beautiful paradox that keeps our connection vibrant and exciting. We serve as each other's inspiration and unwavering support system, a fact our friends often highlight by labeling us as soul mates. We truly believe in it! – our love was ignited from the very first moment we met. (So grateful for that!)

For two years, we lived in Prague together, navigating the intricacies of daily life together. This experience equipped us with the skills and understanding needed to manage households and other responsibilities seamlessly.

I would say that we are both quite creative and like to take on different projects.
I have loved music since I was little, I like to draw and paint. I've recently started experimenting with screen printing and making my own stickers and it's really fun!
Mila is more of a technical type in this... Although he doesn't enjoy painting as much as I do, he can transfer anything into reality! (He recently made a god birdhouse that I designed, haha.)

Mila is an expert in chess and he´s waiting for someone to defeat him, haha! :-)

We love to play badminton, tennis, disc golf. We love via ferratas, climbing walls, winter sports as skating, skiing.
We both love music - I am playing the piano and Mila and I are learning to play guitar so we can play together, we like to sing even though we are not that good at it. :D
We just love to do anything together! :-)
